CHAPTER TWENTYSEVEN

Vis had to calm herself from witnessing her betrotheds rude behavior when he chose not to get up from his seat and greet her old friend. But she was more focused on the fact that Aegon had final left them alone, and he had not been as disgusting as he usually is.

Vis had to be cut off from Rhaena, even though she really wanted to stay and listen to everything on her friends mind, had to go back to her work. They did however agree to talk more later when Rhaena had seen her injured feet, saying that she would definitely need a more detailed explanation to both how she was now a part of the Targaryen family and everything else.

When Rhaena had left them all, she had placed a kiss on Vis' cheek before disappearing out of the hall. Vis had stood facing it for a while after she was gone. She was completely in her own thoughts when she felt a hand wrapping itself around her waist, causing her attention to shift to her love that now was by her side.

"Why did you not get up?" Vis mumbled as she turned around and out of his grip.

"That was very rude." She added before starting to walk out of the hall.
Aemond was very quick to catch up with her.

"I apologize, but you know perfectly well how badly I handle jealousy." He simply stated.

"That is the silliest excuse I've ever heard." Vis skuffs, continuing on her path back towards her chambers.

"But I'm not in the mood to argue." She added, keeping silent after that.

"Do you wanna fly to dragonstone? Will that cheer you up?" Aemond stopped walking behind her, making her stop as well.

"I don't need cheering up, I need you to stop having lesser panic attacks every time a person tries to come near me." Vis steps up to Aemond, her tone harsh as she points to him with her finger.

"But yes, I would still like to go flying." She adds, barely able to hide her smile when she said that.

When making their way down to the grasslands this time, Aemond had made sure that they would ride on horseback on their way there. Vis has changed into her riding gear before getting some more of the bandages to add extra padding in her shoes. She knew that she could not be held back by hurting feet.

Aemond had not wasted any time to call for Vhagar once they got there, but Vhagar seemed to not be in a hurry. While waiting, they both sat down.

"You're not trying anything today. Promise me that?" Aemond had said the second Vhagar could be seen in the sky.

"I'm not in the mood to rescue you from getting burned, so promise me that you won't try and claim a dragon?" He added, looking over at Vis with a very serious expression.

"And what would you have said if I came back in time and told you the same thing the day you claimed her?" Vis asked as she got up from the ground the second the large beast landed in front of them. She didn't wait for Aemond, just walked up to Vhagar, who didn't seem to mind the girl.

"I would have told you to fuck off." Aemond yelled as he too now got up from his seat and came sprinting after her and up to Vhagar. Vis didn't seem to want to waste time getting up into the air as she had already grabbed a hold of the rope ladder.

"You first and you'll be in the front." Aemond nodded towards the ladder, signaling to Vis that she could ascend. Vis didn't even question it and got up into the saddle quickly, and soon she had Aemond up on it behind her as well.

"Go on, you're in control." He nodded towards the rains, causing Vis to turn in her seat and look over at Aemond, who now had his arms snaked along her body and on the handles in front of her hands.
