CHAPTER FIFTYTWO

When Vis had found Ser Criston she had found him chatting up a woman she had not seen before, but she saw that she was wearing a color combination that reminded her of a house, but since she had yet to become familiar with every houses colors it made her no more clear to who it might be. She approached him, nodding to the woman who lit up like she was seeing a ghost. "Your grace, such an honor." She curtisied rather deeply, and Vis could not do anything but just smile as she glance over at her knight for a rescue. "Oh, shit, sorry, this is Lady Farell, your grace. One of the more smaller houses that resides in Dorne." Ser Criston nodded towards his Queen who looked back at the lady and reached out her arm. When the lady saw the queen attempting to greet her in that way she chuckled shortly before she too reached out hers. Vis shook it slightly. "It's very nice to meet you, but if you excuse for just a moment, I will be needing my knight." The lady just nodded quickly and Vis walked away from her, Ser Criston following her. "Your grace, may I say you look absolutely breathtaking." He gave her a big smile, causing Vis to just chuckle slightly. "Yes, thank you Ser Criston, but save it for the ladies, please?" She suggested.

"Can I please have you by my side just in case my cousin decides to disappear on me when the guests arrive?" Vis stepped over to one of the tables where glasses of champagne had already been readied. She grabbed one as she desperately needed something to take the edge off. She had not planned on drinking much, as she wanted to be supportive for Aegon, but a few glasses would not hurt.

"Are you starting already, your grace?" Ser Criston nodded towards the glass in her hand. "Shut up, I have not been this fucking nervous since my wedding and it stresses me out that I don't even know the names of half my guests." She shook her head, taking a big gulp of the champagne. Ser Criston just chuckled and stepped closer and to the side of his Queen.

"I will stay by your side if Aegon disappear and I will help you with the names that I remember, but I think your hand might be a better pick for knowing all the houses." He suggested.

"No, please he may be my hand and all, but he is so unenthusiastic that his voice alone bores me terribly." Vis said as she now spotted her lover jogging through the path further down across the garden. "Shit.." she mumbled as she downed the rest of the glass before putting it down on the table. She started walking towards Aegon who in that light looked terribly handsome with his new haircut and that outfit.

When Aegon saw his Queen standing there he couldn't help but smile. She was insanely gorgeous and the stones on her dress were sparkling in the sunlight, and he could not help to think how amazingly she wore that crown on her head. When he stepped up in front of her he was really tempted to just put a quick kiss on her lips, but seeing that so many of the staff and some guest had already arrived that would not be smart. Instead he settled for a double cheek kiss. "Darling." He whispered as he pulled away from it. He reached up and adjusted the crown on her head slightly as it on a hairdo like she wore today should be resting more like a tiara than a crown.

Vis took the liberty to brush the shoulders of his jacket slightly. "Did you have champagne already?" He could tell? God, she swore that nose of his had become one like a dog's after he stopped drinking.

"I'm nervous, don't nag me." She mumbled reaching her hand up to adjust one of the locks of hair that was out of place on his head but stopped when she saw several people already looking over at their direction.

"Myrio said that they let out Vermax earlier by the way." Aegon offered his arm out for her. That could not look that suspicious, right? They were family after all. "What, why?"
"He was extremely restless, I think it's all the extra fuss." He added as he pulled on her arm that she had just linked around his. "Come on, the sooner we start the less stressful it'll be." He was right. It was only unfortunate that the people Aegon now was dragging the queen towards was the Lord she did not want to talk to in the first place. "Fuck, please can we not?" Vis whispered, but it was too late. For the lord and his escort had already seen the Queen and the Prince.
