CHAPTER SEVENTYONE

The night grew late, and now the only prince who actually was interested in being devoted to her little banquet was down in the pit showing off his dragon. Most of the biggest houses lords had left with their daughters. The only one left was Lord Larys Tully, who was traveling with his brother Poul.

Vis were talking to Lord Poul, while his older brother was busy talking up Lady Tyra from house Karstark.

Aemond had left to find Aegon, mostly to assure them all that he did not leave the keep and got himself into trouble. He had brought Ser Criston with him, so now there was only Lana and Rhae to watch the small group of people still holding on to the night.

"Are you sure you can not provide any information of why you've summoned all these houses, your grace?" Poul was a young man, barely turned 20, but much more mature and much more broader than his brother Larys.

"Does it have something to do with the red Priestess I saw earlier?" Vis didn't know how they all could tell so easily that she was a red Priestess as her dress was black, not red tonight. Her hair was red, maybe that was it. Or maybe she just looked like a Priestess of the religion.

"I intend to tell you all tomorrow. Though I fear most of you will not believe me." That seemed to strike his attention.

So Vis started explaining, even though she had said multiple times that night that they all would get to know tomorrow.

Poul let out a short chuckle when she told him about the others and that they were practically an army of undead people following a queen of no dragonblood on the next biggest dragon in the world

"I am taking Lyara, and we will fly beyond the wall to see if we can spot them. She says her magic will conceal us."

Pouls face turns into one big frown.

"I will go with you." He expresses rather loudly, causing the rest of the people who are still in the hall to glance over at them. Vis smiles slightly, shaking her head.

"Syrax can not carry three people, and there will be provided proof once I've seen them with my own eyes." Vis sat up straight a little when her glance fell behind Lord Poul and to her husband's face, who out of nowhere appeared in the entrance.

"It's getting late, my lord. Please get some sleep. Tomorrow will be chaotic." Vis patted his shoulder slightly as she got up from her seat. She curtsied slightly. "My lord." Then she turned her heel and started walking towards Aemond.

"Good night, my lords and my ladies." She raised her voice slightly, and everybody looked over towards her, all saying good night as a response as she and Aemond left the hall for the corridors.

"Lord Tully has an annoyingly good eye on you, Vis." Aemond added out of nowhere.

"Lady Lyanna has an annoyingly good eye on you, Aemond." She shot it right back, causing him to break from his serious face and let out a light chuckle.

"And to be honest, a little competition is good for the heart, is it not?" He bobbed his head left to right, then nodded slightly.

"You like being desired. I hate it."

"No. You love being desired by your wife. I love being desired by my husband. And you being unnecessarily jealous of lord Larys or Lord Poul fucking Tully is just fun as you fight so much harder for me to desire you just as much back, when really that is completely unnecessary. There is no other person who can compete with you, my moon." He had to force himself not to grin from ear to ear from that.
