CHAPTER SIXTYNINE
Lyara had greeted them in the morning when they both came down to the common room to eat.
Vis had put on the very flowy and light dress that Lyara had lent her, and it was perfect as Volantis was incredibly hot that day, and that heat was definitely entering the temple as well.
At the table sat the same man that had come in the pool room last night and now Vis finally got to say properly hello to him.
He had grabbed Vis hands and squeezed them as she sat down next to him, holding them up close to his head.
"He can tell a lot about you by checking your hands." Lyara cleared up.
"Yes, you have the hands of a queen." He mumbles slightly, letting his thumbs brush over the top of her hands. "They are delicate, yet firm. You rule with passion and kindness."
"I don't know about that. I'm just trying not to fuck up the continent." Vis chuckles.
"There is only one way for the continent to fall, my child. And that is if the others gets pass the wall."
Vis looks over at Lyara. "I need to fly beyond the wall. I need to see." Lyara lets out a heavy sigh and nods.
"I will go with you, right Mortin?"
"Oh yes. You are important to the prophecy, my dear Lyara."
"My magic will be able to hide you on your dragon if we go alone." Lyara adds.
"Fuck no!" Aemond is quick to disagree, showing with his tone that it is out of the question.
"My magic is not strong enough to hide your massive beast, Aemond. Syrax is small. I will fly with her."
"That is not up for discussion! If anybody should go, we will all go on the Cannibal."
"Cannibal is big and slow, Aemond. What are we going to do if he falls and we all die? The hope is gone. I will go with Vis on Syrax. You've seen them from me sharing my visions with you. But I can not share them with her and she needs to see how many and how bad it is."
"The queen will go with Lyara, Aemond. The Lord has spoken and given you your chance to unite us. You are no good to us dead yet again and a part of their army along with your dragon."
Vis snapped her head towards Aemond, her eyes wide. "What is he talking about?"
"Vis, the others have a general that was made by the children of the forest. He can make you a part of his army. A wight. It's not a resurrection, because you're still dead. And there is a lot of proof that says he can do the same to animals, as they have undead horses among their army."
"If he gets a dragon, we are screwed."
"Their general made them all. If we kill him, the rest will follow."
"How?"
"Valeriyan steel and dragonglass. We need to mine it."
"Where on this earth can we find such material?"
"On Dragonstone, your grace." Priest Mortin said, again squeezing her hands.
"Valeriyan steel cuts them, and we can destroy them with fire as well as dragonglass. But it is no use if we don't get to Dimin."
"You are the prince that was promised. That means that you will kill him?" Aemond shook his head. "My task is to unite the realm. My focus is on Narissa and her dragon."
"I will have to talk to Karsten when we go to Winterfell. He might know more than we think." They all nodded in agreement.
They spent the rest of the morning eating breakfast and preparing for their flight back home.
