Like I have told you before, I am chronically sick, and therefore, I occasionally have weeks where my health is so bad that I need to be in the hospital. That is how it is right now, unfortunately. So, my updates will be around twice a week.

CHAPTER SIXTYSEVEN

Aemond had fetched them some soup that he had found the cook making in the kitchen.

The only reason why he was gone so long was because he was catching up with the woman who had fed him for so many months while he stayed in the temple.

It was squash and pumpkin soup with a small hint of cream in it, as well as toasted cheese sandwiches to go with it.

Vis had eaten her soup rather quickly and in such a way that made Lyara question if she had had trouble with food before since she acted like she had not eaten in a long time. Vis had had some trouble with eating after her miscarriage, and it did not make it any easier to take care of her body when she was constantly reminded of the guilt she felt around losing yet another child.

Aegon had nagged her almost daily of how angry and disappointed he was. And it went so far that Aemond had to threaten him to make him shut the hell up. He reminded his brother that Vis was no longer his and that he should focus on finding a wife himself whom he could produce heirs with instead of bothering his former lover for losing their babe.

Aemond had started to regret the fact that he had brought Vis with him when he saw the expression she had on her face when he returned from the kitchen. But he decided that they were going to eat in peace and talk more when that was over with.

"Do you stay in a hostel, or do you want to stay here at the temple tonight?" Lyara had been the first to cut off the silence when they were about to finish their meal.

"We need you to fly back to Kings Landing with us. You can fly with me on Syrax. I have a saddle." Vis said rather enthusiastically.

"I need to speak to the high priest about that, and it's too late to leave today. If I go, we will travel tomorrow morning if that works?" Lyara reaches for the pitcher and pours some more of the wine into Vis' cup.

"We will stay here tonight, Vis. I feel much safer here than in a hostel. And we both know that if we go to the palace we won't be able to leave in days." Aemond holds out his cup for Lyara to fill his as well.

Vis picks up her cup and takes one more sip from it. "The wine is better here than in the palace. But I can not drink so much. The Grand Maester says it is not the best thing for increased fertility."

"If you need something to increase the chances even more, I am quite skilled with fertility potions." Lyara chuckles.

Vis looks over at Aemond, who just smiles and shrugs to her. "Alright, sure. It can't lesser the chances, right?" Lyara claps her hands as she lets out an exited squal. "It's one of my favorite potions to make." She is quickly up on her feet, and she walks over to her shelves and start picking bottles from them.

"Do you need anything?" Lyara stops as she turns and looks at Aemond, who is quick to raise his hands up in defense.

"No, you've seen her, I don't need anything with a wife like that!" He nods towards Vis, who just shakes her head at his comment with a smile on her lips. Lyara lets out a giggle as she turns back to the shelf.

"Good." They can hear her mumble to herself. "Very good."

Vis just chuckles at Lyaras behavior. It was very clear to her that this woman was good, and she appreciated the enthusiasm she had towards them wanting to become parents and she knew now that she was very supportive towards Aemond finally being able to be with her again and take his rightful place as her husband.
