Ang sarap nilang tignan, palaging nakabuntot si Darlene sa papa niya. Lagi itong nagpapakarga, gusto niyang kabonding si Joaquin.

I totally understand her since ako lang ang nakikilala niyang magulang. She must have missed her father that much. O sadyang mas madali lang makipagclose sa bata itong si Joaquin.

Kasalukuyan silang nakaupo sa couch ng sala. Darlene sits on her father's lap as they are playing games on his phone.

"Enough na, you must sleep now for you to grow," Joaquin ruffled her hair and flipped the kid for it to sleep on his shoulder. She immediately fell asleep.

Saka na ako tumabi sa kanila, nagtimpla ako ng kape kahit gabi na. "Mahal na mahal ka ng anak mo, nakakainggit ah," I joked.

"Maybe she just wants my company for now lalo na't kakakilala niya palang sa akin," he told me, I nodded.

"You know, I envy your friends," he suddenly said.

"Isang sorry lang kasi nila pinatawad mo na, ako kahit anong paawa ko noon hindi mo ako pinayagang mag-explain ng side ko eh," he chuckled. "It could have been better,"

"Sorry," I apologized. Ang akala ko kasi talaga noon ay may mali siyang ginawa, hanggang ngayon ay nagsisisi pa rin ako kung bakit inuna ko ang sarili ko bago makinig sa kaniya.

"N-no, I just thought that if I were your friend back then, it might be fine for you to accept my apology faster," he explained.

"Your frustration is valid, given my past, it is really acceptable for you to act that way," he shrugged, tumango nalang ako ulit.

That was actually the reason why I hesitated. He manipulates me whenever he has a chance before. Pero wala pa rin kasi sa timing ang pagmamatigas ko.

I went near him and brushed his hair up. I held his nape and kissed his lips. He was shocked, I just chuckled and move away after.

Joaquin looked away, "Gusto mo bang friends nalang muna tayo ngayon?" I asked.

"You're just fucking around, right?" He asked.

"Hindi ah, puwede naman 'yon eh," pagbibiro ko.

He sighed and rolled his eyes, ang sungit! "Matulog nga nga tayo," he told me as he stood up, carrying Darlene.

We went upstairs, Joaquin carefully put our daughter down the bed.

"You may sleep now too. Tulog na si Darlene," he told me as he cover our daughter with thick blanket para hindi lamigin. 

"Magsashower muna ako," sambit ko habang kumukuha ng tuwalya.

He nodded and took his phone. "Okay,"

I sighed at saka pumunta na rin sa banyo. But I don't feel okay. Right now, I don't want to take shower alone.

"Joaquin," I slightly opened the door to call him.

He immediately heard me. "Hmm?"

"Bakit?" He asked habang bumabangon sa pagkahiga. "May problema ba sa shower--" I dragged him inside the bathroom.

"Sula--" I stopped him from talking by kissing his lips.

I locked the door and pinned his body. "Sula, may bata sa kwarto!" He shouted in whisper.

I just kissed him again. Hindi niya ba talaga ako na-miss? Medyo boring ang good boy na Joaquin.

From obeying so much to my commands, and stopping his urge to kiss me, it feels so weird to witness this side of him. I know he wanted to change some part of him but I think it's enough. Maybe, provoking him will help him come back to his senses.
