Princess Mina.
Even though I know now that he's not a madman who conquers kingdoms, something about that Prince annoys me.
I hate the way he held his body so uptight, so proud, that serious expression he always wear, even the aura he holds whenever he enters the room. I suddenly remember the strength of his arms as he held me earlier. He acts like he knows me and even knows my second name. He called me Lady Sharon. I don't usually use that except when I sneak away from the palace that's what I use whenever someone ask for my name. But how did he knows that? I haven't seen him before. Yet he's somewhat familiar.
I hear talks around the castle on how impressed they were to the Prince. That he's so handsome, manly, gorgeous and fit to be a King.
As soon as the Prince were out of sight, I bombarded father with questions.
"Papa, you don't believe him, don't you?" I looked at him eagerly hoping to hear what I want to hear.
"He is not what we all think of him."
My face fell. No! He convinced him?
"Papa, all he said was clearly lies! Don't believe anything he says. He's barbaric! He will invade our kingdom even if he offers you a deal. He's not to be trusted Papa!"
What's alarming is he doesn't even looked worried despite everything he knows about him. I was shocked when he shook his head.
"Sweetheart, you've mistaken..."
"No Papa! Please, this is our kingdom, you're our King, our father who vowed to protect us..."
"...and I've always fulfilled that vow. Sweetheart, but what we thought we know is a lie..."
I now feel offended, why he doesn't believe me. I'm now desperate.
"A lie? Our spy..."
"Our spy knows not about what happens in what they so called 'battle'. There is no battle. You see what they do..." I was about to interrupt me but his stare stop me from doing so. He then proceed and told me what they've talked about earlier.
I admit I was surprised. That's really unexpected.
"I'm sure if we ask Rowan, he'll say the same thing." Oh, Rowan. It's as if the Prince made me forget about him. When I saw Rowan, he was about to say something but the Prince came.
I sat there processing what Papa have just told me. So what we knew all these years were a lie, well I mean the bit where King Jihyo ascended the throne.
"He knows you... Lady Sharon?"
"No idea. I haven't seen him before. I would definitely remember him with that strong arrogant attitude."
Papa chuckled which had me confused. He looked at me as if he wants to tell me something. He clearly chose not to for he ordered me to make sure the feast will be in order.
I left Papa's chambers still stunned. I was walking absent mindedly along the hallway when someone held me by the arm. It was Sana.
"Mina? Everything alright? You're walking weirdly slow staring at nothing."
I told her what Papa told me. She was also shocked but then she smiled
"I knew that handsome face doesn't look barbaric." I was stunned to hear that from her. The only guy he compliments aside from Papa was Rowan.
"What are you shocked about? He is handsome, admit it. Even more handsome than Rowan. Look at his body..."
Now I'm more shocked hearing her say that.
