Prince Chaeyoung.
It's been 3 days since the kiss. I had been very worried that she might hate me for it. I wanted to talk to her but it seems we can't meet. Either I'm out before she wake up, she's asleep once I got home or she's not at the castle whenever I am.
The King and I have no schedule today since we finished everything yesterday. So we both able to join my brothers and Mina at breakfast.
When I arrived at the banquet hall, I heard Mina laughing along with my brothers and the King. When Momo glanced my way he smiled widely.
"Finally here comes another hard worker!"
All of them looked at me except Mina who was suddenly busy on her plate. Momo stood offering his seat which is beside the King and in front of Mina.
I stood beside my seat, looked at the King and bowed. "Good Morning, your highness."
I faced Mina and bowed. "Good Morning, my Princess."
Momo and Tzuyu cheered "oohh" to tease me.
Is she mad at me? Despise me? Hate me for eternity?
She lifted her head, looked at me and said "Good Morning, your highness." She said it in a shy voice then she went back to look at her plate again.
All of my worries evaporated when in just a few seconds I saw her blushing face. I smiled as I sat on my seat and began to eat.
Well, at least she's not angry at me. I think. She's very transparent on what she feels and she's someone who's not afraid of confrontation whether she's wronged or want to fight for her right.
I glanced at her which coincidentally she glanced my way as well. She quickly averted her eyes but I didn't fail to notice another blush.
"It's sad to know this will be your last night here in Aevar. I have enjoyed your company. For the weeks you've stayed we have learned a lot. So tonight, your last night, we'll celebrate. Me and all the kings had a feast prepared for tonight. The Kings will be joining us later today."
"A party! Finally! I haven't been in one for ages." Momo said.
"That's Momo's scene. I'm not much of a party goer..." I said.
"Neither am I." Tzuyu said.
"I understand. It's not just a party, but more of a thank you, a parting feast. The whole Aevar wants to thank you for the last time for everything you've done to our country."
"A party..." Momo said.
"Don't worry your highness. We'll attend the feast." I assured the King.
"A slight problem though..." Momo said.
"What is it Prince Momo? Maybe I could help."
"You see these 3 Princes and a beautiful Princess will be attending a Feast where all the royals of Aevar will be, in their regular everyday clothes."
The King laughed. "I was actually waiting for the princess to be the one who'll brought that up."
I looked at Mina who's smiling at the King.
"Oh your highness, I'm not that vain, in fact I'm not that into glamming up for a party. Not a party person either."
"Wait. So I'm vain?" Momo asked as if shocked.
"Oh no brother. Maybe narcissistic, conceited, egocentric... Would you like me to go on?"
"Oh shut up your smart mouth." Momo said making us laugh.
"I do have an answer to your problem Prince Momo."
"See. Thank you, your highness. It's just for me. Let these 3 attend in their regular clothes."
"That's fine with me. Comfy even. We'll still look good in anything specially our fair lady here. We really don't need to glam up." I teased him. Happy to see Mina's amused too.
Momo acted as if he was shot. "Ouch. That's barbaric!"
We laughed again at him. He's such a dork.
"We already have prepared 4 suits each for the Princes and 8 gowns for the Princess which is all ready made. A tailor will be assisting you to check if there's some need of adjustments. She's also open to suggestions." The King faced Mina. "Please let her know anything you want to change or suggest. She's really kind."
A few hours later my brothers and I met the Tailor in my chamber. Her staff brought in 3 different racks labeled under our names. She presented 5 suits which is different from each rack.
"Now we're talking." Momo said as he looked into his rack.
After I chose my suit. I went to the balcony while drinking my cold coffee. I wonder what Mina's doing now. She must be choosing her gown for tonight. I'm not really excited for what will happen tonight. In fact I'm worried. I don't know why. It's just there's this feeling that it doesn't end with Jaryu. Like there's danger still lurking around us. Maybe I'll be more at ease once we go home.
Going home sounds to be the right answer but in some way I'm not that excited going home too. There's only one reason why... I won't get to see her everyday anymore. We'll be in our own kingdoms. Though I know I could visit her anytime, still... I was used to have her near. I may not see her everyday, yet I know she's somewhere near.
I wonder what will happen once we return.
