Cain and Able: Josh Kelley
"Hope you didn't start cooking without us." I enter the Kent house with Selina and Miles.
"Us? Yeah, okay. You're doing all the work." Selina tells me and I scoff.
"Brianna." Martha walks over to me. "Your hair." She looks at my red hair. "It's beautiful." She hugs me.
"Yeah, the salon lady told me it was Cherry Coke or something." I hug her back. "I don't know, I thought it looked cool." I now pull away.
"You look so beautiful. Like you always do." She rubs my arms.
"Thank you."
"Hello? Earth to Jack the Giant. You gonna continue staring?" Selina questions.
I look up, meeting Clark's stare on me. "You okay, Kent?" I walk over and hug him.
"Yeah. I am now." Clark hugs me back and I feel an ache pass through my stomach.
"Selina, will you be joining us for thanksgiving?" Martha asks. "We would be really happy to have you."
"Sure. I could chill here." Selina nods. "Thanks."
"Hi." Clark now pulls away, but keeps his hands on my waist.
"Hi." I keep my hands on his arms and we stare at each other.
"Will Bruce and the others be joining us as well, Brianna?" Martha wonders. "Your mom and Jim?"
"No. I'm gonna let Jim and my mom work things out on their own rather than try to pull them into a big dinner and make them talk to each other. And Bruce and Alfred left Gotham to go to Switzerland for a few months to wind down after everything that happened with Strange. But they send their love."
"Hey." Lois enters. "So you can scratch Oliver's name off the Thanksgiving guest list, or any other guest list, for that matter. I'm solo."
"Well, that's too bad. What happened?" Martha turns to her.
"Last night he pulled another one of his trademark disappearing acts...smack in the middle of a date."
"Well, I'm sorry, Lois."
"Oh, don't be. I mean, who's kidding who here? We had no future. He's a world renowned billionaire, and I am a nail-biting, diner-doling tabloid reporter."
"Lois, I'm sure you'll find someone who's better suited for you." Miles assures.
"Yeah, I know, I know, life goes on. At least for some people. Have you heard the news? The Green Arrow was shot last night. It's in today's Planet." Lois hands me the newspaper. "A man found him bleeding and ran for help, but when the cops finally got there, all that was left was a bloodstain."
