I Don't Even Care About You: MISSIO

"Scott!" I yell as a big crash is made. "Scott!"

"Brianna, get out of here." Scott croaks out. "Run, okay? Brianna. Brianna, run!"

"No one tells me what to do." I mutter and Griffin lands beside me.

He fires the blaster and then nods at me. I raise my arms and shoot electrical webs at Roland, making sure Scott doesn't see. I keep going before I pull Roland forward with my webs and then yank him all the way back.

"Nice." Griffin high fives me before going after Roland and I grab a pair of pliers.

"I'm gonna get you down so you can get me out of here." I head over.

"Great." Scott replies and I unclip the rope before he falls.

"Can you take me now, please?" I drop the pliers and he stands up.

"Okay. I'll take you." He nods. "I'll leave you alone." He grins. "It's always gonna be you though."

"Shut up." I whisper.

"Ever since that day. It was always you."

"Please just take me." I tilt my head up at him.

"Take a deep breath." Scott walks over to me and I tighten my jaw. "Detective Brady." He looks at my badge on my waistband.

"Don't tell me what to do." I rasp out and we start to stare at each other before I whip my head around, then catching a yelling Griffin.

"Holy shit." Griffin looks up at me. "How on Earth..."

"Academy training."

"Right, that explains the incredible agility and reflexes." Griffin gets on his feet. "Detective Brady." He looks at my badge. "Well, I got it. I trapped them there.
Without the machine, they're screwed."

"Nice." I high five him.

"Brianna-"

"Get in front of me." I pull Scott in front of me.

"What?" Scott furrows his eyebrows. "Brianna, what-"

"Mhm." I grunt as the rope touches my back.

"No. Brianna."

"Got her!" Roland yanks me back.

"No! Brianna!" Scott screams and Roland wraps his arm around me before I hit the wall, now acting like I'm passed out.

"Now they have to come to us. Let's get these fires out."

I open my eyes in the slightest to see Roland and his army starting to clear out. I close my eyes again and keep them that way until I sense they're all in hiding about a half hour later. I now open my eyes and go to rip off the wire, but Scott teleports in front of me. I gasp before we lock eyes. Roland then shoots electrical wires at Scott and he grunts in pain.
