Born For This: The Score
"Hey." Peter opens the door.
"Hey." I reply. "Hi, aunt May."
"Good morning, Brianna." Aunt May grins.
"Morning."
"Would you like some breakfast?"
"I'm okay. Thank you." I nod and sit at the table with Peter. "Yo." I toss a dog tag at his chest.
Peter catches it. "Thanks." He nods and puts it over his neck.
"You like it?"
"Yeah."
"Right answer." I nod and he scoffs.
"At approximately 9 p.m. last night, an incident took place on the Williamsburg Bridge. Much of what occurred is speculation at this point. However, several eyewitnesses to the crime, as well as our own preliminary findings, have positively placed two individuals at the scene." I hear Captain Stacy say on the tv before quickly locking eyes with Peter and Aunt May fills our glasses with orange juice. "Which is why, this morning, I am issuing a warrant for the masked vigilantes known as Spider-Man and The Ghost."
"You ready?" I stand up.
"Yeah." Peter grabs his bag and I wave at aunt May before we leave. "I told Gwen."
"Good." I pat his shoulder. "So when do I get to meet her?"
"No way." Miles heads out of the car. "Spider-Man."
"Parker, meet my best friend, Miles Devroe. Miles, this is Peter Parker."

"It's so beautiful." Gwen looks at the spider in the vial as we sit on the bleachers.
"Knows how to bite though." Peter tells her.
"Mine does too." I nod.
"Who else knows about this?" Gwen wonders.
"Just you guys." Peter whispers.
"Really?"
"Hey, you don't...you don't believe what the police are saying, do you?"
"Of course not. Does it scare you? What you guys can do?" Gwen turns to me.
"No." I shake my head. "I mean, I was confused at first, but, it almost came natural to me. The reflexes, the fighting, the webs, it was like instinct."
