"This isn't exactly what I had in mind when I suggested dinner after work." Jim walks over with a takeout bag.
"After work?" I furrow my eyebrows. "Shit, what time is it?"
"Relax. It gives me a chance to see my daughter in her new element."
"Only for three more days until we head back to Gotham."
"Don't remind me." Jim exhales. "Saving a hospital after the meteor shower and the buying it. Sounds about right."
"Sounds like Brianna Brady." Lana heads over. "You must be turning heads left and right."
"I guess I've been too busy at work to notice. You know, with everything else going on." I tell her. "Jim, you remember Lana."
"Of course." Jim hugs her. "Nice to see you again."
"You too, Jim." Lana hugs him back before pulling away.
"How are you?"
"I'm good. And you?"
"I'm great." Jim looks at me and I faintly grin.
"Is everything okay?" I look at Lana.
"Any leads on that thing that took Chloe?" Lana wonders.
"A night watchman and two ambulance drivers were murdered the night of the ceremony. I'm gonna find this thing before it hurts anyone else."
"We know you will." Jim cups my face. "You've become the woman that I've always known you could be." He hugs me and I hug him back. "I should probably leave you to it." He pulls away. "I'll be home with Margo, Dom and Miles. Call me when you're done, okay?"
"Okay." I nod.
"I'll see you, Lana."
"Bye, Jim." Lana waves and Jim walks off. "I haven't seen Dom in a long time."
"Yeah, my mom's been with him for the past few years now. You can see him. I'm sure he would love to see his aunt Lana after all this time."
"Okay." Lana hugs me with a smile.
"I'm really glad you're back, Lana." I inquire.
"Me too." She rubs my shoulder. "Here." She hands me an envelope. "For Ryan's Warriors. All you've done is amazing, Brianna. Ryan would be so proud." She grins.
"Hey." Scott heads over.
"Hey." I kiss him. "Lana, you remember Scott. Scott, you remember Lana."
