"Wouldn't Clark be a little jealous knowing you're spending Valentine's Day with me?" Peter questions as we walk down the block of New York.
"No, he knows about you." I reply.
"Huh. So I'm in a love triangle now?"
"Yep. Deal with it." I shove my hands in my hoodie pockets.
"What's going on?"
"What do you mean?"
"You're forgetting I have a spider sense too."
"I didn't forget."
"Look, I know things must've been crazy ever since we got back from...wherever the hell it is we got back from."
"Yeah, it is. It's almost like nothing else is real."
"Yeah, I felt like that too." Peter nods. "How's Gotham?"
"Crime is legal in it now." I hand him one of Oswald's licenses.
"Pax Penguina? What the hell does that even mean?"
"I don't know, but it all just seems to be getting worse. Might as well put a pass on terrorism too."
"You need help? Wait, how stupid of me to ask. The train's right there." Peter points ahead.
"Thanks for the offer, but I'm fine, Parker." I scoff while shaking my head.
"So why aren't you with Clark?"
"Just needed some air."
"In a different state?"
"Yep." I nod as I keep my gaze forward.
"This about the portal, isn't it? You, me, Peter and P3, right?"
"I was gone for a whole month. I don't know if it was the same for you, but-"
"Yeah, it was. Aunt May was furious. Never seen her so mad before."
"How is she?"
"She's good. She misses you."
"Yeah, I miss her too." I nod.
"So you told Clark when you got back?" Peter questions.
"Yeah. Well, he told me about him first. Which I really didn't expect because we both weren't telling each other for the same reason. But when I got back, I couldn't believe how much I missed. Oliver was drinking his three meals a day, Kent was training with Jor-El. Jimmy and Davis died. Zod is here. A whole shit show if you will."
