The Show Must Go On: Queen

"Brianna. Is everything okay? Do you need me to come to Gotham?" Tess asks through my phone.

"No, not yet. We have a lead. Meet me at Cadmus." I tell her.

"I'll be right there." She hangs up and I slip my phone in my pocket.

"You okay?" Clark turns me around.

"I'm fine." I nod. "Just not a fan of labs." I look around.

"Brianna. Clark." Tess walks over. "What'd you find?"

"Emil finally finished working through the files we found after the fire. There's one body still unaccounted for—Lx-15. There's another Lex on the loose." I hand her a file while giving her a knowing look.

"Why look here? I closed the book on this place months ago."

"Supplies are still being sent here." Clark informs.

"Someone's helping him survive, but...you're assuming that he's a threat just because he's a Luthor. Whatever happened to everyone deserving a second chance?"

"No, Luthor blood is Luthor blood. It's poison. It's here. The only room in the building that's lead-lined."

"Wait." Tess stops him. "I'll handle this." She turns.

"No. Tess." Clark stops him. "They're dangerous, Tess. They're born that way." He pushes the door open with his super strength and we follow him inside to face an empty lab.

"We'll go back to Watchtower and see if I can program Oliver's satellite." I nod before I shoot a web at a book on the bed, now turning back with Tess.

"Wait." He turns me back around before taking the book from my hands. "Dearest Tess. Thanks for the read, but I'm all grown up now. Alexander."

"Don't blame, Brianna. She was just trying to-"

"You knew about all this?" He cuts Tess off. "After everything Oliver and I did to trust you, this is how you repay us?"

"No. No, I was only trying to protect you."

"You were only trying to protect yourself."

"No. Clark." Tess drops her bag and I follow her gaze to Clark's symbol carved on the wall.

"You're no better than he is." Clark grabs something from her bag. "What else are you hiding, Tess?"

"It's a Kryptonian relic. I only just received it. I swear to God, I was gonna tell you about it, Clark. It just showed up."

"Why do you have it?"

"Clark. There's something I need to tell you." Tess chokes out and relic lights up.
