     Forever: Labrinth

"Clark! Clark." I run over and kneel down to him to see something in this chest. "Clark. No. Clark." I cup his face before looking back at the knife. "Please! Please, come back to me." I cry. "Blue kryptonite." I realize as I look at the knife again. "Okay, hold on, okay, Baby, hold on." I grip the bottom of the knife and I grunt before yanking it out of him. "Clark. Clark." I see the knife glow out. "Clark. Clark, you're okay." I nod as he groans. "You're okay, baby." I nod before taking off.

I land on top of a building and I watch Clark stand up. He looks up at the sky before the sun heals his wound. He then super speeds away and I grin before putting on my mask, now taking off.

"Clark. You survived, how did you..." Chloe trails off as I listen in from the ceiling.

"I didn't. Zod stabbed me with blue kryptonite. He kept us from ascending. I took the knife from him and sent him away." Clark looks the rip in his shirt. "And I guess I kind of...died. But I'm here now. And what about the others, did they make it? What about Brianna and the others in Gotham?"

"They're all fine. Gotham is currently The Walking Dead ever since Jeremiah blew it up, but knowing Brianna, her dad, Bruce, Harvey, and Lucius, they'll make it habitable again. But can we go back to the part where you died?"

"It was more of a near-death experience. Jor-El told me that greater evil was coming. He sent me back to fight it."

"Okay, I'm all for second chances, but did he happen to give this greater evil a name?"

"No, Chloe. Before I left, I saw Lex." Clark reveals and and I clench my jaw. "Doctor Fate said that he would be my ultimate opponent."

"Coming back to life—not exactly covered by an HMO."

"Maybe he went off the grid, to one of his own facilities."

"I kept a pretty close eye on any Luthor flare ups, I mean, Level 3, Metro pharmaceuticals, 33.1. Clark, all these projects are dead." Chloe pulls up the grids on her computer.

"Maybe he revised something from years ago." Clark tells her.

"Way back when there wasn't much digital record to track? You know, Clark, if they did a story on this at the Daily Planet, they would have a hard copy stored in the archives."

"I didn't get rid of Zod just to let some other evil take his place." He super speeds away.
