Brooke's POV

Once I got to the park, I couldn't see Peyton so I sat on a bench and waited for him. "Hey" I heard someone say then turned to see Peyton standing there. "Oh hey" I said, moving over so he could sit. He half smiled then sat beside me. We sat there awkwardly for a few seconds. "I'm really really sorry" I said, looking down. I really am sorry for everything that happened last night. It's all my fault. Everything. And I'll never forgive myself. "I'm sorry too" Peyton said. I looked at him, not expecting him to say that. "Wait. Why are you sorry? This is all my fault." I asked, confused. "No it's not. I'm the one who asked you to come to the party in the first place. I thought I could make you fall for me again but I didn't. It just backfired and now you probably hate me" He explained with a sad tone in his voice. "No this is all my fault. And I could never hate you Peyton. I was just really upset at what happened. I didn't mean anything I said in the rain last night" I said. Then there was another moment of silence. "How about we stop blaming ourselves and just forget about what happened?" Peyton said. I nodded. "That sounds good" I said, smiling. Then I leaned in and gave Peyton a hug. He hugged me back. "So did you talk to Ross?" He asked. My smile quickly faded. "No...he's probably already gone for Europe." I said, then checked the time on my phone. It was 11:00AM. He's definitely already gone. "That sucks but I'm sure he'll forgive you. Just talk to him on the phone or something" Peyton said, trying to make me feel better. "Thanks but I doubt it. He probably hates me. He said he can't trust me anymore.." I said, trying not to get upset. "Maybe he'll change his mind by the time he comes back"
"Maybe" I said, just wanting to end this conversation. Peyton looked up to the sky then back at me. "Looks like it's gonna rain, we should go home" He said, getting up. "Yah, let's go" I said, getting up too.
"I can walk you home if you want"
"I don't want you to walk home in the rain though" I said, as we started walking. "It's fine, a little rain doesn't scare me" Peyton said, smiling at me. I just smiled back. Once we got home, it started raining. "Good timing" I laughed, as we sat on the front porch. "You can say that again" Peyton chuckled. I smiled at him, but he was too busy watching the rain to notice. "You can stay over for a bit if you want" I offered. "Thanks" He said, smiling. I'm so happy everything's good between me and Peyton again. That's one weight off my shoulder. Now I just gotta talk to Ross. Somehow...
