There were two people standing under the second hokage statue's nose , their eyes narrowed, feeling the cool morning air while looking at the sun rising behind the village wall.
"This village looks better than the village hidden in the rain." (Pain)
Pain's spiky hair shone in the orange morning sun. With a wide smile on his face, the akatsuki leader spoke to the uchiha.
"I don't see any zetsu around, as expected my plan to distract madara and danzo was successful." (Pain)
A proud laugh left his mouth as he made a very annoying smug face.
"Hn, that is obito's work ." (Itachi)
Said the uchiha in a tired tone. The man in question was not here with them.
Obito had left for the village early in the morning, telling them that he wanted to meet with team seven. Unlike Itachi, the chances of people finding out about Obito's time travel were slim since he didn't look like his younger version.
"Alright, forget about that. What about the crow?" (Pain)
The smug expression had completely disappeared from the pain's face , a pair of violet eyes stared at Itachi, waiting for Itachi's answer.
"Hn, the message has been safely received by him."
Hearing the news, Pain's mouth curved into a wide smile. Every chess piece had been moved into position, they only needed to get one more piece. It was a good news for both of them, but Itachi didn't look satisfied.
"Pain..." (Itachi)
The hairs on Pain's body stood up after seeing Itachi's narrowed eyes. Itachi was scary but this time it was a different kind of scary!!! Itachi stood there silently staring at Pain with slight disgust.
"Why did you put a picture of a girl and a hot bath ticket in the message?" (Itachi)
Like a statue, Pain raised his hand with his mouth open.
"I can explain." (Pain)
There was a smile on Itachi's face that said he would listen without judging him, but his feet said something else as he walked away, not bothering to hide his disgust.
