A few more moments and she'd no longer be an issue. She got so lucky that they pulled be off of her before the cops came. She was gasping for air and crying when they pulled me out the room. I wasn't normally the violent type but when you push me and I snap, I can go there. What she did shouldn't have offended me enough to attack her, but it did because that wasn't the first and only time, she'd done it Babe! Babe you ok. Huh I said looking at Vante. You zoned out for a moment. Did I? Yeah, you did, you've been doing that a lot lately, what's up with you? Nothing, just a lot on my mind that's all. I feel you on that. What's going on with you babe? Coach was on our ass again about our outside activities. Talking about "we don't pay y'all to be out here acting a damn fool.". Technically he ain't lying. It ain't even all of us though it's only a few that forget they not in the hood no more. You can't be concerned about them; you have a goal and that's to play with them for a little while and then move on to better things right. That's right he said looking at me. You know I got that call about playing overseas right. I know I said nodding my head. I am holding out for a better offer here, but I don't know when that'll come. It'll come I promise you; you got that training camp in Chicago with the Bulls; something will come from that. I love your optimism. Now why would I doubt you, you my man besides I wouldn't mind living in Chicago. You'd actually leave Las Vegas. Uhh yeah why wouldn't I? I don't know, I just thought you wouldn't want to leave your newfound friends. I am sure I'd keep in touch with Kim and Marleigh. I am sure you would, but I am talking about your other friends. My other...oh you mean the ranch. Yeah, the ranch, the one you said you wouldn't go back to after the first couple of visits. Yet now you working their full time.

I let out a deep breath cause I knew this talk was coming soon or later. I went from being part time to being at the ranch more than my own business. There was no real reason for me to be at the ranch all the time other than the fact that I liked the action. Basically, you can take the girl out the club, but you can't take the club out of the girl. I tried to distance myself from the ranch but then I got close to some of the girls, and I've been there ever since. It wasn't like I could just bounce on them, especially not Emerald, not right now. She doesn't even know she's being preyed on by Rocci and her little crew. Of course, she was sneaky about it, she waited till I wasn't around and started befriending her. You'd think now why she would do that especially after Sapphire spazzed out on her the first time, but she continues to pursue her and get her involved in things that she shouldn't be involved in. That's how she ended up in that situation she was in a few months back, that she still hadn't recovered from. When she came back, she came back with a vengeance and even folks that were once close to her became enemies of hers. Rocci had gotten into her mind. But that didn't stop us from being there for her and making sure she stayed medicated and away from Rocci at all costs until she could really realize what was going on.

You've been living a double life Bela! Huh! I was just waiting for you to tell me. Tell you what about the ranch you knew about the ranch. It ain't just the ranch, don't think I don't know and haven't realized what you're doing and how long you've been doing it for as well. You said you wouldn't step foot on that stage anymore but now I got my teammates saying they saw you dancing. No one has seen me dancing Devante because I haven't been. So, you saying they lying to me? I am saying they working hard to get in your head baby. I haven't danced since I left New York. Now they may have seen me working the bar or helping with the front door but touching that stage, definitely not. I want...Vante, believe me I am not lying to you. Just tell me the truth Bela if you are. As bad as I wanted to tell him the truth I couldn't. I couldn't tell him that I'd been dancing, and I definitely couldn't tell them why his no-good friends are now saying something about it. They're saying something because they don't want me to lay their secrets bare. Bela, he said making me look at him. I am not dancing anymore baby, whatever they are saying is a lie. Besides baby, what do you really know about them other than yall play on the same team. What do you mean? I mean how much do you really know about your teammates when yall aren't on the court. What do they do with their own free time? Not much I mean you know when I am not playing, I am here at the house helping you or working with my nonprofit organization. So, you don't go with them to their little boys' nights and stuff. I've gone a few times but it ain't my scene so no I'd rather be here with you or working on something productive. Who even said some crazy mess like to you anyway? Why does it matter if you aren't dancing right? I guess it doesn't then. Mhm, he said looking at me.
