me and vinnie were in his car, cruising with the windows down. My hand was on the console, hoping he'd hold it. But in his defense, he doesn't know I have a big crush on him. We've been friends for a little over a year.
He pulled up to the beach, and opened my door for me. We started to walk along the sand. The silence between us was always comfortable. But a girl in a dark blue bikini passed us. Vinnies eyes followed her. They eyed each other, but I couldn't say anything because he wasn't mine.
I put my head down because she was beautiful. She was skinny. Hair down to her butt, as mine barely reached my waist. She came back and approached him.
"Hey.. is this your girlfriend?" He looked down at me. "No she's my friend." But again in his defense, he didn't know I liked him. I never made it obvious that I did.
"So, can I get your number then?" She touched his arm. "Uh.." and I felt him glance at me as I looked at the water. "Sure." He answered. I held back my tears. Was i being dramatic for feeling this way?
He took her number and she walked off. "Aww look who has a girlfriend." I giggled. He chuckled and slightly pushed me. I was jealous of her. I wanted to be her because she was now going to date him.
She was going to get all the attention I once used to get. His arms that used to go around me, were now going to be around her. We got in the car, and he started to take me home.
"y/n, what's wrong? you've had a frown on your face for like 2 hours." He said, glancing between me and the road. I shook my head and replied, "nothing." He pulled up to my place. "something.. tell me"
I sighed. "I like you" i looked down at my legs, avoiding his gaze on me. I finally looked at him. He looked speechless. "I wanna be the girl you get flowers for. I wanna be the girl you wake up next to. I wanna be the girl you love. I wanna be the girl you tell your friends about.." he cut me off.
He pressed his lips against mine. "It's about time you said something." He chuckled, slightly pulling away. "what?" I chuckled with him. "y/n I've liked you since we met i just didn't know if you felt the same."
"But.. you.. took that girls number which sort of means you're over me." I continued to look into his beautiful eyes. "I didn't want too, though. You didn't hear how hesitated I was to take her number? I want you, I've always wanted you."
I leaned over the console, pressing my lips to his. He cupped my jaw and I felt him smile through the kiss. "Now you will be that girl." He said in a cheesy way. I couldn't help but laugh.
