I haven't spoken to vinnie in a few days. We've been arguing for two weeks straight about different stuff. We unfortunately dont live with each other, so after our last argument he left and I haven't heard from him since.
present
I was sitting on the bathroom floor crying. I hated being alone. I had a fear of it. nightmares about my abusive ex started coming back ever since me and vinnie started fighting. But I never told him because I shouldn't put my problems on him.
He doesn't know how I've been feeling these past couple days, and I've been trying to talk to him. But he doesn't answer. Between me and vinnie not talking, being alone, and my nightmares, it all became too overwhelming and I broke down even more. I was sitting in the corner leaning against the tub with my knees to my chest sobbing.
I just wanted him. I picked up my phone in my shaky hand, and called him. "y/n?" he spoke softly. I missed his voice, his touch, everything. "please.." i couldn't even speak. I was crying so hard. "please what, baby? what's going on?" He sounded worried. "please come.." I continued to sob through the phone. I was almost gasping for air. "im on my way.. stay where you are."
I hung up. He lives 25 minutes away from me, but in just 15 minutes the door opened. I was still on the bathroom floor crying. "y/n?" He called out. The first place he looked was the bedroom. Then, the bathroom. He immediately came in, closing the door behind him. "baby.." he came over to me, wrapping his arms around my curled up body.
"Im sorry, im so sorry." I sobbed into his chest. "You have nothing to be sorry for, darling.. what's been going on? I've never heard you cry like this.." I finally stopped crying, and I looked up at him. He wiped the tears away as I began explaining.
"The nightmares came back when we started arguing a lot.." vinnie always came over when I had them. He knew how much they scared me. "Why didn't you tell me?" He continued to speak softly, his eyes watering. "I didn't wanna add on.." he pulled me closer. "Im sorry." He said, squeezing me. "just don't let me go.."
"never.." he rubbed my back. He picked me up, and took me to the kitchen. One of our favorite things to do together was cook. He pulled out a pot, and began cutting some stuff up. "what are you doing?" I asked. "making you your favorite." He smiled at me. "vinnie.. it's 11:30pm." I giggled quietly. "so? Come here." With that, I walked over to him, tears still coming down my face.
He cupped my face with both hands, pulling my face up for me to look up at him. "stop crying, okay.. im here now. forever." He assured, wiping the tears away with his thumb. After he finished cutting, he was waiting for the water to boil. While he was waiting, he looked down at me.
"you know no matter what happens with us, I'll always be here for you." "me too." I whispered. He pulled me into a hug, and just held onto me. "Im sorry for calling you so late.." "hey.. I don't mind at all. I don't care where I am, or what I'm doing. Im always going to come when you need me." He assured rubbing my back.
