she sighed softly and she watched him laugh. they weren't happy together anymore. he didn't laugh around her like that anymore. she got up, and walked to her room. they lived in a house with a group of friends. she always stayed in his room, but lately she's been in hers because they're not happy but can't seem to let each other go.
she closed her bedroom door, and opened her closet pulling down a big box. she set it on the floor, then sat down. should i..? she asked herself. she took a deep breath, and opened the box. it was all the flowers he got her. all of them. she pulled out her most favorite ones.
her eyes welled up with tears. she set the flowers down. she couldn't look anymore. she closed up the box and opened her closet door. when she picked up the box, someone knocked on her door, then opened it causing her to drop the box. thankfully nothing fell out. it was vinnie.
"oh.. hi." she whispered, picking the box back up. "what's that?"
"huh? oh.. nothing.." she laughed, but he didn't believe her. "let me see." he said and she.. caved easily when it came to him. only because of how he is now. she's scared of him. she put the box down and he opened it. he was shocked to say the least. he wasn't expecting it. "how long have you had this?"
"since you got me flowers for the first time."
"that was 3 years ago y/n." he said, and she nodded. "I know."
"come on. come shower with me." he smiled and took her hand. sure, they got along but it was rare now. so this moment, rare.
*in the shower*
"so, why did you keep them all?" he asked softly. "flowers make me happy. I love keeping them." she admitted.
"you never get them for me anymore.." she mumbled to herself. "what was that?!" he slightly yelled. "nothing." she smiled. he gripped her tightly. "ow vinnie! stop!"
"say it again!" he got close to her face and her eyes filled with fear. "i said you never get them for me anymore!" she yelled in his face. "what do i need to get them for?" he yelled back, letting her go. that rare moment, ruined. "get out of my room." he scoffed. she shook her head, and grabbed a towel wrapping it around her body.
she grabbed her clothes off the bathroom floor, then slammed his bathroom door, and his bedroom door. she slammed her door as well, and put her clothes on. shortly after, he banged on her door. "open the door y/n!"
she groaned and opened the door. he walked through, and backed her up until she was sitting on the edge of her bed. "don't slam my door again!" he said through gritted teeth. he turned around, about to walk out she grabbed the towel she used from his bathroom, and threw it at him, making it hit his back.
he stopped his movements, and clutched his fists and turned around. he walked back over to her, and wrapped his hand around her throat, cutting off air circulation, and throwing her back into the mattress. "v.. i can't breathe!" she tried but she just couldn't. she gripped onto his wrist with one hand, and used her other hand to try and pry his fingers off her throat.
"what have I told you about throwing things at me?" he yelled. she began to slap his chest. "don't do it again." he spit out before he let go. she gasped for air and she now looked at him differently. he almost killed her. not purposely. he just wanted to "teach her a lesson" but it wasn't really that deep.
"im going out. do you want to go with me?" he turned around and asked. "no." she mumbled. he scoffed and shook his head, slamming her door as he walked out. he just went out with a couple of his guy friends.
