*backstory*
y/n and vinnie met over the summer on vacation. they instantly clicked and instantly fell in love. a year had passed and now they were back on that vacation still together. but sadly, in a week, they're going back home.
the only problem was, their moms. she hated y/n, and she hated vinnie. they didn't think they were right for each other, but the dads disagreed. they were in love.
*present*
vinnie was now in y/ns room, still on the vacation as he listened to her and her mom scream at each other.
"no, mom! you're being so unreasonable."
"y/n, he's no good for you! he's going to do nothing but hurt you! i'm sorry but you cannot see him anymore." she stated. y/n wasn't going to listen. she loves vinnie.
"mom, I am 18 years old, you cannot tell me who I can and can't see!" she yelled back, vinnie holding his tears. "I love him and you know that."
"no you don't. you're just bored! he is not good for you!"
she looked at her mom, shaking her head and walking into the bedroom. "I'm so sorry you had to hear that.."
"it's alright.. but I need to get going."
"I'll see you tomorrow?" She smiled up at him.
he nodded. he pulled her into a tight hug. "i love you so much y/n.. never forget that."
"I love you, vinnie." he pecked her lips and left.
*the next morning*
her eyes fluttered open and she checked her phone to see a message from vinnie.
"good morning my love. if you're reading this, then it's too late for you to contact me. i'm sorry but we have both been forbidden from seeing each other. i have to block you and no longer talk to you. i'm so sorry. promise me that you'll never forget me, that when you meet someone new I'll always be in your heart. when you get married, picture me in the back cheering for you. no matter what happens, our story isn't over. i love you."
she burst into tears reading the message. she went to his instagram only for it to say "user not found."
tiktok, "account not available."
her mom came in. "what's the matter?"
"like you care. just leave me alone please." She buried herself in the covers and cried.
*back at home*
she ran down to the mailbox like she always did. as she walked back up to her house, she glanced at the mail when she saw his name. she put it under her shirt, handing the mail to her mom and running to her room.
she opened the letter that he had wrote her.
"Hey my love. How are you? I miss you like crazy. I wish I could be with you right now. I've been thinking about you everyday. I know we're adults and yet we still can't see each other when we can but now I think I'm trapped at home. I mean i can go out and stuff- nevermind. I just miss you like crazy. Please write back. I love you so much."
a small whimper left her mouth as tears ran down her cheeks. "what is that?" her mom furrowed her eyes brows. "nothing.." y/n mumbled knowing she was done for.
her mom snatched the letter away, reading it. "seriously? are you still buying this?"
