"hi.. im vinnie." he smiled down at the 5'2 girl. (short girl problems.)
"hi.. y/n." she shook his hand. she was friends with his friends so they introduced her to him. he couldn't stop smiling at her.
they eventually sat down on the couch and all began talking and asking about y/n. "so y/n, what brought you to la?" vinnie asked, making her stomach fill with butterflies every time he looked in her direction or even spoke to each other.
"I don't know really. I never wanted to move here when I was younger but.. this seems like my place. I'm just seeing where it goes from here i guess."
"maybe I can show you around." he smiled at her. her heart started beating extremely fast. "okay." She nodded. "today?" she asked, unsure of what day he meant. "yeah, let's go." he smiled and they both got up and left. he watched her eyes widen at the city lights. she loved it. he even took her to his favorite restaurant and she loved it just as much as he did.
*present*
"y/n! you made it!"
"hey!" she hugged her friend. she saw vinnie in the back but they didn't acknowledge each other anymore. they had unfollowed each other on social media. but they still have each others numbers.
she still likes him. so much still. he was playing a video game with his friends. they don't really know how they drifted apart, they just did. their texts became shorter, as did their calls. they didn't do anything together anymore, they stopped posting each other on social media. fans went crazy. even more crazy when they unfollowed each other. she glanced over at him and as he glanced at her, she quickly turned.
It had been a couple days since she last saw him. she wonders where it went wrong. why did it go wrong? how did it go wrong? she may not know, but we do. actually, we don't. they've been around each other but they don't even acknowledge each other. they just walk past each other.
a notification on her phone ripped her out of her thoughts. it was a random vinnie fan. they had dm'd her. she opened the message, and it read, "how do you feel knowing vinnie is seeing julia ernst?"
she furrowed her eyebrows, and clicked on julias profile to see vinnie in one of her posts, and that he's liked almost all her recent posts. her heart sank but what could she really do about it? they weren't really friends anymore.
she ended up finding a video of vinnie and julia. tears brimmed her eyes but never fell as she quickly wiped them away. there was nothing she could do. it was obvious he had moved on but she never did. she never wanted to date anyone else cause she was so hung up on him.
*flashback*
"what's the worse that could happen?" she asked. "i don't know.. maybe you could DIE?" he joked. they were in his car and she wanted him to go really fast and drift. "i have a seatbelt on.. come on!" she smiled up at him. it was always hard for him to say no to her. "fineeee." he chuckled. he buckled up and he began driving.
