Her upper body leaned over Eddie, who lay unconscious on the futon, as she stared vacantly at his body. Music flared in her ears as fragments of the awful sights she witnessed earlier that night played on a loop in her mind. The silence was filled with distant whispers. She glanced up to see Jonathan hovering over Will, while Nancy comforted the older Byers a few feet away. A flash of emotion flashed across the girl's eyes as she observed the scene.

It was Hopper's muffled, gruff, raised voice that averted the girl's attention that pricked her ears. As Hopper held the Byers house phone in his hand, the Harrington girl glanced sideways, his eye meeting hers. The man roughly set the phone back onto the receiver before turning his back to face the party.

"We'll see? We can't just sit here while those things are loose!" Mike's indistinct voice shouted, frustration teeming through his words. Lily bolstered herself off her knees and headed to the kitchen, where the party sat in silence around the wooden dining table.

The demoralized girl's brother along with Beverly leaned against the countertops as their eyes stared out the kitchen window, lost in reverie. The brunette sauntered to the tomboy's side, leaning her lower back against the counter trim as she slipped her headphones off.

As she looked around, she noticed Mike suddenly standing up from his seat and making his way toward the coffee table situated in the center of the living room.

"Hey, have you heard about Bob? He's actually the founder of Hawkins AV. He even petitioned the school to start it. Mr. Clarke learned everything from him. It's really impressive, don't you think?" Mike shared as he rejoined the group, admiration evident in his softened eyes as he spoke up.

A soft yeah left Lucas and Dustin's lips as their eyes dropped from the Wheeler boy to the smooth surface of the wooden table. "He really was a superhero" The brunette added sullenly as her down-casting eyes zipped to the raven-haired boy who immediately met her gaze.

"We can't let him die in vain" Mike spoke sternly, holding his gaze on Lily's with a determined look as the girl firmly dipped her head. "What exactly do you guys plan to do, huh? The chief's right. We can't stop those demodogs on our own even with Lily" Dustin brusque tightly, his tone critical as his forehead creased with opposition.

"Demodogs?" Max chimed in, with a derisive tone, sarcastically raising her eyebrows as her sardonic gaze trained on the icy-eyed teen. "Demogorgon. Dog. Demodog. It's a compound" The Henderson boy reiterated with a flat tone as he interlocked his fingers and held the redhead's mocking gaze. "It's a play on words-"

"Okay, I understand," Max interrupted sharply, with widened eyes filled with frustration from the boy's condescending tone. This caused Dustin to lower his gaze and mutter to himself.

"I mean, maybe if it was dart, maybe... but there's a whole army now"

"His army"

"Precisely"
