Steve and Lily Harrington stayed up 'late' which was only two hours watching scary movies, curled up on the couch that horrible Halloween night as empty chocolate wrappers surrounded them.
Twenty minutes into the movie the Harrington kids were watching, both of the siblings passed out on the couches together.
Loud snores escaped past Lily's lips as her head rested on Steve's shoulder blade, the older boy's head was craned up as it hung over the silver couch he sat on.
A string of drool dripped down the corner of Steve's mouth as soft snores escaped his mouth.
The two were asleep peacefully before it was interrupted by Lily's watch beeping obnoxiously loud. Steve and Lily jolted awake before softly groaning as they were still half asleep.
Lily rubbed her eyes tenderly before her tired eyes fluttered open, her eyes landing on her wrist where her digital watch continued to beep. "What the hell is that?" Steve muttered as his eyes were still closed, his neck rolling backward before letting out an exhausted sigh.
"My stupid watch" Lily retorted with a soft rasp as her thumb and index finger squeezed the sides of the watch for it to shut up. "What time is it?" Steve softly murmured to his sister as he squinted his eyes from the brightness of the gleaming television that was still playing.
Lily pressed a small black button causing her watch to light up rather brightly for Lily's liking. "God damn it! Why are you so fricking bright!" Lily exclaimed softly as she squinted her eyes to view what the watch says.
"It's 10:55. Oh shit, it's 10:55" Lily mumbled to Steve before her eyes widened slightly at the time. "Shit" Lily muttered under her breath, she was supposed to meet Bev at 10:40 at the redhead's house.
"We should go to sleep" Steve sighed as he rubbed the inner corners of his eyes before his index fingers rubbed his closed eyelids. "Yeah" Lily agreed as she stared at her watch before her gaze shifted to Steve whose eyes were red and puffy from crying so much earlier.
Lily and her older brother had cried in each other's arms for a little while before they sat down on the living room couches and talked about it.
Steve explained the whole situation with Nancy at the party and how she confessed that their whole relationship was bullshit and how Nancy didn't love him. Lily sat there on the couch quietly as she listened to the broken boy.
The girl could tell Steve was extremely hurt by the topic since when the boy spoke his voice broke and tears seeped in the corner of his eyes.
Lily's eyes softened as she rubbed her brother's back as he spoke. Lily couldn't believe how Nancy reacted to Steve trying to take care of her.
