"Trick or Treat!" The seven friends exclaimed once the red wooden door open, revealing an older woman with a bright smile on her deeply wrinkled face.
"Oh. Well, aren't you cute? The little exterminators, a Jazzercise instructor, a little boy, and a biker" The woman chuckled as she held out a clear bowl that was full of 3 musketeers.
The group's smile completely dropped as they shared a glance before grabbing a handful each of the candy. Lily sighed deeply as the group walked down the small flight of concrete stairs and into the empty street.
"If I get another 3 musketeers, I'm going to kill myself" Lucas exaggerated as the group walked further away from the house that was lit by the outside light.
"Who the hell dresses up as a boy for Halloween" Eddie exclaimed in frustration from the group's encounter with the woman as Will softly snickered.
"What's wrong with three musketeers?" Dustin asked defensively as he turned to Lucas who was walking beside Beverly. "What's wrong with three musketeers?" Lucas mocked the curly-haired boy with an annoyed tone as he sends Dustin a glare.
"No one likes three musketeers" Mike interjected as Will nodded his head in agreement. "Yeah, it's just nougat" Will joined in the conversation causing Dustin to scoff.
"Whoa! Just nougat? Just nougat! It's top three for me" Dustin spoke dramatically as he moved his free hand through the air as he spoke.
"Musketeers is nothing compared to pixy stixs" Bev and Lily spoke in unison causing the two girls to turn to each other with the biggest smiles on their faces.
"Jinx!" The two girls exclaimed again at the same time as their eyes crinkled, their fingers pointing to each other before they let out a laugh. "Yeah, I agree" Eddie sided with the girls as Will shrugged from beside the Cooper boy.
Lily dug into her pillowcase until she reached the bottom, she fished around until she found what she was looking for. Lily retracted her hand from the pillowcase revealing a lollipop, the girl took off the wrapper from the candy before placing it in her mouth.
"Top three?" Lucas articulated in disbelief as he rose his eyebrows, his eyes enlarged as he sends the boy a look. "Top three!" Dustin proclaimed as he held up three fingers in the air for all eyes to see.
"Oh god. Give me a break" Mike scrunched up his face in disgust as Lily softly giggled at the boy's actions. A light whistle went through Lily's ears as her eye color turned white, the girl didn't really mind if someone saw her since they would probably think it was part of the costume.
The brunette earned a few glances from fellow trick or treaters but they shook it off and carried on trick or treating.
