It was Monday morning, the day Lily Harrington dreaded the most, the day where the weekend was long gone and children were forced to attend a prison called 'school'.
Lily was peacefully asleep under the soft and warm fabric of her turquoise covers as soft snores escaped her mouth and a string of drool dripping down the corner of her lips.
Steve burst through Lily's door causing the door to slam against the wall and make a loud 'bang' sound, the records that sat neatly on the shelves that were hanged all around her room began to vibrate before standing still after a few seconds. Her vanity mirror clattered against the wall along with the full body mirror that slightly wobbled.
The red and blue that said 'Bad' in red and 'Bitch' in blue letters clanged against the back of the door. Beverly had 'bought' it for Lily as a present. Lily had a similar neon sign of a rock and roll gesture in a light neon pink that hung just above her vanity that she had 'bought' for herself.
Steve began to mimic the wake-up call for the people in the military, his index, middle, and ring finger fiddling up and down as if he was playing the trumpet as he entered his younger sister's room.
Lily groaned in irritation at her older brother and covered her head with her pillow. Lily pressed the ends of the pillow against her ears, only blocking the noise of her annoying brother slightly.
"Please, Steve! For the love of God! Shut up!" Lily exclaimed into her mattress but was muffled, Steve heard the younger brunettes plead as he stopped playing the invisible instrument and ripped the blankets off of Lily's body.
