To whom it may concern and to all my little rogues
(so, all of you that liked shared and you know, read this fucking thing):
I will never be able to express how much I am feeling since I started this book. Which is infuriating, because writing and describing shit is kind of my life.
I may not be making a living, but that is not a priority right now.
I started Her Rogue back in 2016, at a mere 14 years old, while on a backpacking trip in the South of Chile (for context, I live in the capital of Chile, Santiago, South America, the skinny country next to Argentina).
2016 was my Werewolf Era.
And it showed. My Wattpad library was packed with all the books of that genre. It was a lot. And I was completely inspired by the Chilean Patagonia scenery. I of course just wrote the first ten chapters and completely abandoned it without a second thought.
I finished Her Rogue back in 2020, when the Pandemic was in full swing and I was trapped with eight other people in the middle of the countryside. They were my family members, but I was ready to commit murder if I didn't have something to distract me.
Her Rogue was my saving grace.
I ended this story on September 25, 2020, with three-thousand reads.
And that's how my writing journey started.
My family was super proud of me, I finished a book! My first book! Time to monetize!
Yeah, no.
Her Rogue won't be monetized, at least, not this first version.
This first version is amateurish, it has so many mistakes, forgotten sub-plots (and way too many, for goddess' sake), and cringe.
I can say it, cause it is my book. It hurts when others say it, but I get it.
It is cringe. My own first book is cringe.
And I would blush anytime anyone would ask about it. So my dad had a genius idea: go to school and learn to write better. That is what I have been doing ever since. Learning to be a better writer and making this first version a chance to be something better.
Hopefully.
So what now?
Well, I am still studying, but I am getting tired of not finishing this book.
But I will. Her Rogue [final] is in the works at this moment. I am gathering alpha and beta readers, I am studying hard for this and I am editing like crazy.
Hopefully, this new version will be done by the beginning of 2024.
