"You're back? I thought you guys would take longer. Did you sleep enough, Angel?" Victrix asks me, playing with my hair and giving me a small kiss on the cheek. I nod, my hand still on Malcolm's.

I didn't trust myself to talk.

I had this weird feeling that if I opened my mouth I would start crying and I knew Malcolm felt that.

"What are we doing?" Malcolm asks, taking over the conversation.

I take a seat in one of the desks monitors, looking over what was written in one of the tablets. I put my hair in a bun and my reading glasses on.

It's showtime.

Pitty party is over, I can cry later.

A quick glance to Malcolm, who I knew loved when I wore my glasses and winked at him. I could see his light blush and a small smile on his lips, both knowing what we were thinking.

"We are now making a plan of attack. We have nothing, nowhere about, no leads, nothing," Rosy says, looking completely enraged and frustrated. Diana puts a hand on her arm, calming the redhead almost immediately.

Someone opens the door and we all look at Marcus Hunt entering. He opens his mouth two times, surprised to see so many people in the commanding room.

"Sorry, I was asked to be here?" He tells us, looking a little embarrassed. I immediately feel Malcolm's side get a little stoic.

"Yes, I invited him because of his knowledge of silver poisoning. I wanted to know how much a human could sustain silver in its system before getting sick. I thought it would be good for us to know how long the humans were hired by Lee," Olympe says, giving Malcolm a look like an apology. "Next time try to be on time, sweety."

Marcus just nods at her and gives a small smile to the whole crowd around.

Malcolm still didn't like Marcus and I get it. I would feel very uncomfortable if Malcolm's ex came up in our lives.

Look at you being an adult with empathy. I hear Sybilla sly on my mind, loving how we were more able to understand our mate's wants and feelings.

"Good thinking, mamma," I hear Malcolm say next to me.

Must be because we missed Malcolm so much, that I was able to understand his feelings more vividly, but I could still feel he still hated the guy's guts. But at the same time, he knew how valuable he could be for us.

"I love how understanding you are," I tell him in our link, taking his hand and pressing my lips on them.

"I am the best mate ever, I will be asking for a lot the next days," He jokes back, giving me a side-eye.

"Anything for you, babe," I grin at him, kissing his hand again.

"I still don't trust the guy, though. Don't ask me to do that," I nod at his remark, looking deeply in his eyes, showing him that I understand.

"What about the home address Diana gave us?" I ask all the people that were present, trying to cut the loud silence that was enveloping the commanding room.

There was my whole family, all my number ones in the different groups of soldiers, my leading scouts, 17 elders, and commanders border patrols.

We were almost 50, all looking at the different screens and monitors, trying to find the best possible way to protect our pack on this future attack.

"We sent a few scouts there, came out nothing. The house was completely empty, they knew we were coming. They left nothing," Alexa informs us, making me nod.
