"The golden group has caught a drone, one of the team members is running to the scientific division at this moment, Alpha," Soldier Zeon tells me the situation as I enter the commanding room.
I could still feel Malcolm glowering for me to look at him.
"Great, ask Filipina to work on it. If she is asleep, wake her up. I don't care but I want the best for this," I tell them, making them all go back to their stations and calling in the scientific division.
Filipina was our best hacker, so if anyone could hack that drone, it was her.
I see a white figure crawl behind Malcolm. As fast as it came, it disappeared.
Goddess, I am tired.
Malcolm raises his eyebrows at me. I just give him a small smile, trying to ignore that white figure.
A rookie, called Sheida came to my side and gave me a cup of coffee, which I promptly take, not minding the boiling liquid burning my tongue all the way to my throat.
Trying so hard to ignore the intense glare and the low growl that I was receiving from my mate.
"You shouldn't be drinking coffee in your state," He warns, showing me his teeth internally.
"We don't know what is my state, Malcolm. Please. We have more urgent matters to attend," I warn back, glaring at him, even though I was smiling at him as if nothing was happening.
He did have to stop when the door opened in full force.
"What in the Holy world of the Moon Goddess is going on and why haven't I been called?" Storming inside the room in all her glory, wearing her Gucci clothes, as if she was ready hours ago. I smile and turn to see my grandma looking incredible in her smart white suit.
"Good morning, mamma. Always a pleasure to see you this early and bright," I tell her, making some of the soldiers in their room smile under their breath, trying not to seem disrespectful.
Even though I could see the slight smile in her eyes, the rest of her face showed her overall distaste.
They were 25 soldiers inside the commanding, and 3 that were running in and out. I had a group of 7 soldiers in each perimeter of the territory. At least 20 groups were outside all in close contact with me, all color-coded.
Every 3 minutes they had to open the link, just open it, not say anything. Just for me to know if they are okay."Why wasn't I informed before the sirens, Angélique?" She asks again, making me roll my eyes internally as to not add more fuel to the fire. "To the conference room," She swiftly commands, while showing us to the private room inside the commanding office.
Yeah, we do not want to add another enemy on our list today.
I smile at the statement Sybilla made.
You can be quite funny when you want, Sybilla. I compliment her, making her smirk.
I know.
"I didn't have time, mamma. We had some other issues to attend," I tell her, she nods and gives me a kiss on the cheek.
"Can you all give us the room, please?" She says to the four other soldiers in the room. They all nod and go to the common area of the commanding room.
She looks at me up and down, frowning.
"You should go to sleep, baby. You look like you haven't slept for a week," She states, not helping with my already low self-esteem I was having these days. "You really look terrible."
