"Alpha, they are intruders on the west side of our border near the beach," My third in command and best friend, Rosy mind-links me.

"How many are there?" I ask, nonchalantly. I knew she could handle it.

"There are at least 20-30 of them, I'll get a closer look," She closes the mind-link, letting me think about why they were so many intruders.

Teenagers preparing a party? Tourists here for our sand beaches? Pretty unlikely when it's rainy season.

The possibility of having rogues was almost non-existing. We were the second biggest pack in the whole country. And to that the strongest. We were undefeatable, every war was won, if it wasn't by words, then by a fist.

Every pack was scared of us.

We put up a reputation that we were cruel, cold-hearted, and calculating.

What they didn't know, is that we were fair and equal.

Every battle we won, we tried to spare as many lives as possible, and if captured you've become a war prisoner, but you weren't a war prisoner forever.

Until an apparent change, you've become a Gamma (or a normal were in the pack).

Our pack is divided like this; you have the war prisoners, rogues, and criminals at the bottom. Like said, with a change you've become a regular were at the pack, a Gamma. They were the cooks, the doctors, the teachers.

And we were all trained to defend, and if necessary, to kill.

Then I had my Thirds in command which were: Alexa and Joshua, mates since they were kids. And Lorelai, a former Navy Seal. They were trainers, team leaders, and captains in every problem.

Then there is my Second in command or the Betas', and that would be Morgan, my little brother, and his mate, Lilith. And Rosy, the long-legged redhead.

I was at the top, I was the Alpha of the Blood Crest Pack.

"Angel... I think you should come," My brother mind-links me. If he says that, it has to be serious.

"Please, Morgan, you know I hate when people call me Angel," I snarl at him. I still don't know why I chose him to be my Beta if he still acted like a baby. "And what is it?"

"Sorry, sis', you can ground me later," I can hear his eye-roll and his smirk, without even seeing him.

"Rosy mind linked me saying that those intruders were rogues, and doesn't look like they are here for a picnic," He sarcastically says. He really needs to grow up.

"Going right now," I mind-linked him before closing it. I crack my knuckles and sigh.

"Time to run Sybilla," I purr to my wolf.

"Give me the full status of the situation," I demand to the group.

That was Morgan, Lilith, Rosy, Joshua, and Lorelai. Today was Sunday, so almost everybody was out, having a good time with their families.

We were all hidden behind a big rock, at the beach. 50 meters from us was a mass of people. Because of the direction of the wind, we could smell them but they couldn't. So it was a perfect place to hide.

"They are 30 rogues, majority male, at least 3 females, mostly in their 20's, 40's," Lorelai whispers, making some signs languages to limit verbal communication.
