I just left with Navina. I told her... not all but most of it. I never told anyone that, not even Jesper even with his constant speeches of me talking after he kinda gave up and I never told him. I never had an urge to tell anybody what happened. I'm used to keeping that memory locked in the dark recesses of my mind. its not something i like remembering, or talking about. But with Navina is was different. She's  warm like that i guess, just making it easier for people to talk to her... or possibly just me. I'm not quite sure why and what that is, and im not sure if I like it or not.

When I walk up the driveway I see a black SUV car in the driveway. I sigh, taking a deep breath trying to prepare myself for River. Hopefully he's sleeping or I don't know... dead?

As I walk up the steps my heart beats a million miles a second as my hand comes up to the door. As I walk in I hear the tv blaring from the living room.

Fuck.

I close the door and I start to turn trying to see where he is. My stomach drops as I see him standing at the edge of the archway to the living room. And an empty beer bottle in his hand. His hair is ruffled up. The black button up ruffled and buttons missing. He has trousers on and he looks.... Like he just got his world shattered. Normally his anger dolls from nothing. Unless I 'provoke' him by just being. But he's drinking... So something must have happened. He doesn't drink unless something bad happens.

My stomach drops and I can hear my heart pounding in my chest and the tremor in my hand. I fucking hate alcohol. If I see it one more time I swear I'm gonna shove it up his ass. I look up to his dark eyes clouded by rage. His glare written on his face sends a shiver and fear through me as he walks closer to me. I walk back to the door, his anger spilling into the ari.

He puts a wicked grin on his face mangled by rage, his hand moves up and breaks on the tall coffee table right next to the door. The glass pieces fell everywhere and I flinched back. In one swift movement his hand comes up and the end of the beer bottle cuts in on me in the bottom of my jaw pricking my skin. He moves closer to me, forcing me to move back up. I hit the door.

I gulp feeling the blood oozing from my chin. His eyes bore into mine with a rage I have seen before. I smell his warm breath on me and I almost vomit when I smell the beer. I wince my eyes. "What the hell did you tell roxanne boy?" he spits out through gritted teeth. The rage in his eyes makes fear coil in my stomach and all through me.

My time with Navina fades like it happened years ago and I come back to reality. This reality. He lifts my chin more, cocking a brow in mock.

"Nothing.' I whisper , feeling the tremor in my hand and the inkling of fear now in my eyes.

"Tell me!" He screams unexpectedly and I flinch back. When I don't speak he comes closer "or the next person to drop dead will be your little girlfriend." he whispers in a spitting venom.

I swallow disdain and fear for Navina. I know River has no trouble killing innocent people... Damnit. "She asked about my mom. About how she died."

His glare turns into a snarl as he throws the glass bottle at the door. The flaring glass some pieces go in my hair. I can feel the rest fall on the ground silently, the font carpet softening it. The same hand then ties around my throat pushing my head back hardly the bag blowing on me head "and what the fuck did you tell her!" he than screams, his voice like venom to my ears.

"She was murdered" he pushes my head back on a bang and tightens his grip making blood flow to my head. "And there were no suspects. '' I choke out. His grip cut the air out of my lungs.

"What else?" he then said harshly, spitting venom. The look in his eyes makes a shiver go through me as I bob my head back, closing my eyes. His grip is tightening and I open my eyes to see the stars on the ceiling. He then loosens his grip making me talk.
