Chapter 40

It has been more than 3 months since Min Yoongi left. Namjoon and Jin are doing well in their recovery. Namjoon informed Jin all that has happened since he was kidnapped, and his brother Ivan could not contain his tears. They would visit Taehyung after their sessions to talk to him. He was able to breathe on his own without the breathing tube. Jimin and J-Hope have visited Taehyung on their days off and cleaned his houses. Jin suggested that they all meet at his house for dinner. They all agreed and would have an open discussion about their concerns of not hearing from Min Yoongi. Ivan prepared them a huge dinner and Jin helped by setting the table. Namjoon moved in with them since Taehyung was admitted into the hospital. When Jimin and J-Hope arrived, everyone sat down around the table.

J-Hope: Hmm... this food smell delicious.

Jimin: Yes, it does.

Ivan: Thank you so much.

Namjoon: No, Ivan thank you for preparing this meal for us.

Ivan: Ah, uncle. I am more than happy to do so. And I am extremely happy that you both only have two more weeks left of therapy.

Jin: Amen to that. (They all laughed)

Namjoon: Any updates on Taehyung?

Jimin: None yet. He is still in a coma, but he is doing ok otherwise. Have you heard from Min Yoongi?

Namjoon: No, not recently. I have been calling him and he doesn't answer, but when I texted him about Taehyung, he responds, "Let me know when he wakes up".

J-Hope: I am wondering what he has been doing since he has been gone for three months.

Jin: In my opinion, I think he is trying to find answers to the questions that we were unable to answer during the investigation. I think he is seeking closure to a closed case.

Namjoon: The case is closed, but I do think he is seeking answers to something that is personal.

Jimin: Like what?

Namjoon: I think he is trying to find Jungkook's remains before Taehyung wakes up.

J-Hope: But where is he searching? We have no leads.

Namjoon: I think Min Yoongi decided that a change of scenery may be the answer.

Jimin: I just want him to come home. We buried Han next to his brother for him three weeks after he left. We did what he asked us to do, but he has distant himself.

Jin: I think it is the guilt that he feels that is causing that.

Ivan: May I ask a question if you don't mind?

Namjoon: Oh, we don't mind asking.

Ivan: Do you think that maybe it is possible that Min Yoongi decided to leave, because of Taehyung?

Jimin: What do you mean?

Ivan: I personally don't know either of them well, but could it be possible that Min Yoongi sees Taehyung as a son that he failed to protect?

Namjoon: I would not have considered that, but they have gotten close since their ordeal.

J-Hope: Has anybody been by his house to see if he is at home?

Namjoon: No, not recently but we can go tomorrow to see if his car is there. All the other times that we checked; his car was not there. (Thinking: where are you, Min Yoongi? What was in the letter that Jamie wrote?)

Min Yoongi woke up early in the morning in his hotel room. He did not plan on being gone this long, but he knew it was for the best that he went away for a while. Since he has been gone for three months, he hoped that Taehyung would have woken up by now. He thought about what Taehyung told him that night that it is never too late to fall in love and have a family. So, Min Yoongi thought about it after some time and decided that it was time to go back home. He needs to be by Taehyung's side.

Min Yoongi ate breakfast and made a short trip to the center. When he walked in the receptionist always welcomed him with a smile.

Receptionist: Good morning, sir. How are you?

Min Yoongi: I'm good, thank you. How is my boy?

Receptionist: He is doing fine. They finished having their breakfast. Would you like to go see him?

Min Yoongi: Yes, I would.

Receptionist: Ok. Henry?

Henry: Yes?

Receptionist: Will you please take Mr. Min Yoongi to his son's room?

Henry: Yes, ma'am. What room number is he in?

Receptionist: Ethan is in room 311.

Henry: Thank you, follow me, sir.

When Min Yoongi arrived at his son's room, he was so happy to see him and wanted to tell him something important. He hopes that Ethan is ready for the news. Min Yoongi knocked on the door and as soon as Ethan saw him, he hugged him in happiness.

Ethan: Dad! I'm so happy to see you. Did you eat breakfast?

Min Yoongi: Yes, I did son.

Henry: I will leave you two alone.

Ethan: Thank you. Dad come in. Have a seat.

Min Yoongi: Ok. How have you've been?

Ethan: I'm doing well. What brings you by? I wasn't expecting you until tomorrow.

Min Yoongi: Son, I came by to tell you that I am flying back home.

Ethan: Oh. (Panicking) Are you leaving me here?

Min Yoongi: No, I am taking you with me.

Ethan: Really? I can finally go home with you.

Min Yoongi: Yes, I finally got your passport and your papers. You can come to my home with me.

Ethan (Rans and hugs Min Yoongi) Oh, dad this is the best news ever! When do we leave?

Min Yoongi: We are leaving tomorrow night. It will take a couple of days to get there. But you must promise me something.

Ethan: Sure, dad. What do you want me to promise you?

Min Yoongi: That you will continue to receive treatment.

Ethan: I promise dad. I will continue my treatments.

Min Yoongi: Good.

Ethan: I can't believe that I am going home with you after so much time.

Min Yoongi: Yes, and I cannot wait to introduce you as my son to my brothers. I can see their faces in complete shock.

Ethan: I'm looking forward to it. Are you going to stay with me for the rest of the day?

Min Yoongi: Only a few hours, so I can pack my things and you can start packing too. I will check you out of here at 3pm. Our flight is at 6pm, so we have enough time to get to the airport and a quick bite to eat. I will have your passport and papers with me.

Ethan: (Crying tears of joy) Dad, I can't wait. I'm going to have a home.

Min Yoongi: Yes. We are going home.
