Chapter 30

Min Yoongi parked the car two blocks away from homicide. Both Taehyung and Namjoon used binoculars to see if they spotted Jamie. There was no sighting of Jamie, and soon they would have to leave not only to avoid being seen but also be back at the safe house for tonight's meeting. As the time was approaching 6pm, they called it quits and returned to the safe house to meet up with Jimin and J-Hope. Taehyung prepared dinner for them, and Min Yoongi made the drinks while Namjoon set up the table. Once Taehyung brought the food to the table, there was a knock on the door. Min Yoongi answered the door to let in an exhausted Jimin and J-Hope.

Min Yoongi: You guys look awful.

Jimin: We feel awful. There have been numerous overdoses of the MM drugs and suicide.

J-Hope: Yes, it seems that the city is going through mayhem. (Sniffing the air). Ah... that smells so good. Oh! Namjoon! It's so good to see you!

Namjoon: I'm happy to see you guys, too.

Taehyung: Come, let's eat.

Min Yoongi: Mmm... this is delicious, Taehyung.

Taehyung: Thank you, sir.

Jimin: Yes, this is amazing.

Namjoon: Shall we begin?

Min Yoongi: Yes, we can start. Jimin, did you find out anything from your aunt?

Jimin: Yes. My aunt found out that boys were sent to multiple foster homes, but Han was finally placed in the custody of Glen and Terri Li.

Min Yoongi, Taehyung, and Namjoon: WHAT??!!

Jimin: Yes. It turns out the Li's were responsible for taking care of Han after Ian was killed. But Glen sends Han to military school because Han wasn't getting along with Amber.

Taehyung: Seriously?

Jimin: Yes. Also, during military school, Han was not under his legal name. To protect his identity from the incident involving his brother's death; he went through school under the name of Michael McKenzie.

Namjoon: Oh my God! Jin shared with me information about Michael McKenzie before he was kidnapped by Lin!

Taehyung: Whoa... whoa... hold on a second.

J-Hope: What is it?

Taehyung: Han went to live with the Li's after the death of Ian. But why the Li's?

Jimin: The only thing my aunt said was that the Li's were good foster care parents. They took Han in after no one would take him.

Min Yoongi: Something is not right about this.

Taehyung: Agreed.

Namjoon: What are you thinking?

Taehyung: I think Jimin's aunt is correct that this whole situation with Han and Ian is a coverup. Jimin.

Jimin: Yes?

Taehyung: Is there anything in the file that states what happened to Lin?

Jimin: No, my aunt only has information about Han and Ian. There is nothing on Lin.

Min Yoongi: Taehyung, what theory do you have going on in your mind?
