Isabella's POV

I locked eyes with Dom, and I saw the slight movement of his finger. Not many people knew this, but when we were kids, a raised finger was our warning signal when someone was bugging us. I smiled at the memory and nodded at Deck.

I didn't have a mic in, so I couldn't hear what was going on, but I noticed Little Nobody making a move. I knew it was a trick—Dom was smart, and he'd find a way out, just like he always did.

We raced after him, and I pulled out my phone. Decks asked, "Isa, did you put a tracker on Dom?"

I smiled. "No, just a firewall on this phone. I hacked her mainframe."

Deck smiled back. "Isabella Shaw, you're amazing."

I smirked. "Yep, I know."

Deckard laughed, then looked at me seriously. "I love you."

"I love you too, Deck. But are you okay?"

"Yeah. Let's just deal with this, and then we can go home," he said.

I smiled, feeling the same way. We continued chasing Dom, but I wasn't focused on where everyone else was going.

"Isa!" Deck called.

"Go that way. You can cut him off," I said.

Deck smiled and we saw Letty and Tej's car, with Dom ahead of us. Deckard, being the cool guy he was, drove up and shot out his cable to stretch across Dom's car. The rest of the crew did the same.

I wasn't wearing a comm, but I could read lips. Deckard said, "Try 5."

I smiled. "Okay, now you're showing off, babe."

"Only for you, darling," he replied with a grin.

I saw Dom's car heating up, flames coming from the wheels. He was trying to escape as fast as he could. The car crashed into Roman, and Hobbs's cable broke off Dom's door. The car slammed into a parked vehicle and a pole. Then Dom flipped over Letty and Tej's car, and Deckard and I's car hit another vehicle. Deckard's hand reached out to protect me and our unborn child.

Dom made his way to the case, and we chased after him into an alley. Suddenly, Dom turned, pointed a gun at us, and said, "You thought this would be a street fight?"

Deckard stepped in front of me, protecting me from Dom. "What are you waiting for, Toretto?"

Dom shot Deckard three times, and he collapsed to the ground. Hobbs screamed, and I rushed to Deckard, holding him in my arms, as I turned to Dom. I pulled out my gun.

"You're going to pay for that," I said, shooting my brother without hesitation. I bent down, hugging Deckard's lifeless body, knowing that my child had just lost their father.

Hobbs ran to me. "Isa, we've got to go."

"I'm not leaving," I said, refusing to move.

"Isa, please," Hobbs begged, pulling me away.

He carried me out as the cops arrived. "Please, Hobbs. Just leave me here," I cried.

"No," he said firmly.

We drove back in silence. I sat, staring blankly, not wanting to speak to anyone. Hobbs sat next to me, quiet as well. Everyone else arrived, still shaken from what had just happened.

Little Nobody came over, asking about Deckard. Hobbs said, "Shaw?"

Little Nobody shook his head. My husband was gone—gone because of all this. No one seemed to care except me and maybe Hobbs.

I sat on the stairs, and Hobbs wrapped his arms around me, comforting me. Letty came over, asking what our next steps were. "Isabella, you know Cipher. Maybe you know something that could make up for marrying Deckard."

Hobbs and Little Nobody said, "Letty, maybe you shouldn't—"

But I snapped. "You know what, Letty? I just watched my husband die. So, fuck off, okay? I get it—seeing Dom like this is hard for you, but maybe instead of being a bitch, you should figure out how to save him by yourself. I'm done. Find a way to stop Cipher without me. I'm Shaw, not a Toretto. That's all you see, an enemy. Maybe I'm not. All I did was fight for my husband, and for something you all did to his brother. You burned Owen, threw Deckard in jail, and blamed me for loving him. Well, fuck you. I'm glad I married him. And now, I'm not sorry for it."

Letty looked stunned. "Isa, I'm sorry, it just came out."

I glared at her. "Save it, Letty. I thought you were going to be a sister I could count on, but I was wrong."

I turned to the others. "Good luck taking down Cipher. You're going to need it."

Letty tried to say something, but I walked past her to Hobbs.

"Isa," Hobbs said quietly.

I looked at him. "You know, Hobbs, if this war wasn't happening, we could have been friends. But I'm sorry it didn't work out."

We shook hands, and I walked out without saying another word.

Little Nobody caught up to me. "Isabella, wait up?"

I looked at him. "If you're going to lecture me about what I said, then fuck off. You don't know my relationship with Dom and Mia."

He paused. "I'm not here to lecture you. I get it. You have every right to be upset. But you also need to understand their hurt. Dom wanted to reach out to you, and he's stubborn, just like you. I'm a follower, not a leader."

I sighed. "Yeah, you're right. I just wish Dom got that when I was younger."

"He did a lot wrong, but so did you. Maybe all you need is to talk."

I looked out the window, lost in thought. "I miss Dom and Mia. I know I don't show it much, but I do."

He nodded and said nothing else. The drive was quiet, and he dropped me off at my building, wishing me goodbye. I walked inside and collapsed onto the bed, crying myself to sleep.

Author's Note:

Hi, guys! I'm getting back into the story, but just a quick note: I won't be publishing any more Fast and Furious stories until this one is finished. I want to rewrite a few of them before moving on to the others.

Isabella's confrontation with Letty was fueled by pain and frustration. While Letty has always supported Isabella and Deckard, her single-minded focus on finding Dom blinded her to Isabella's grief. Both said things they didn't mean, and it's clear that deep down, they care for each other. Though it will take time, I believe they can make up once they process their emotions.

As for Dom and Mia, Isabella misses them, but the wounds are deep. A reconciliation is possible, but it will take patience and understanding from both sides. All of them, including Isabella, want to heal, and with time, they could rebuild their relationships.

I want to thank all of you for your support. I never thought I could do this, but with all the encouragement from you all, I've found the confidence to keep writing. Thank you for making me believe in myself!

If you're a fan of Marvel or have a crush on Bucky Barnes, check out my story Huntress! It would mean a lot to me if you did. Also, if you're a fan of the Grishaverse, please check out my book as well! I'd really appreciate it!
