"Thanks for the meal." I said before getting up to go wash my plate.

A weak hand tugged on my shirt, I looked down into my little sister's big round E/C eyes.

"Y/N? What do you want for your birthday tomorrow?" I was so innocently asked.

S/N knows my birthday?
While staying at my mother's house, I never prepared for this question.

I was quite certain M/N didn't even remember my birthday.

"Well... I'm not sure yet." I replied honestly, "S/N, how do you know my birthday?" I asked sweetly.

"Daddy told it to me! I wrote it on my calendar!"

I put my plate down on the table and picked her up. She was so light; I spun her around in a circle.

"You're such a clever girl!" I smiled while she erupted in laughter. I placed her safely back down on the chair.

"I saved up lots of money to go shopping with you!" S/N pulled out her pockets and lots of money fell out.

How does my 5 year old sister have more cash than me?!

"S/N, remember stealing is wrong." As the older sister, I had to teach her morals - things my mother obviously never understood.

"Nuh uh! I didn't steal!" S/N puffed, "I got this fair and square!"

"Really?" I raised an eyebrow while keeping a smile on my face.

"Yes! When mommy has visitors, they like to give me money when mommy isn't looking!"

I sighed. They most likely felt bad for S/N with her bad health and knowing asians, if you give it to the child, the parents just can't deny.

Unless you're my mother - a gold digging bitch who could care less about being humble or modest.

I mentally applauded the visitors who gave S/N money when our mother wasn't looking. She'd definitely snatch it from my sister's grasp.

"Y/N? I want to try pudding... please?" S/N begged.

"I'm not sure..." I've never once seen S/N go beyond the gates while I've lived here.

From my knowledge, her illness didn't disrupt her physical movements or was affected by them.

S/N pleaded with her adorable little face, "I'll be a good girl, I promise!"
