Summary: You live at the bunker with Sam and Dean and Sam likes you.
Warnings: None. Just fluff.
Author's Note: So here's a Sam Winchester imagine for all you Sam people out there and those of you like me who love to read.
I close the book in my hand with a smile on my face happy to have gone through another great adventure. I stand up from my spot on the couch in the main area of the bunker and walk to my room to put the completed book back in its proper place. I open the door to my room and walk over to my shelf that holds only a small portion of my books and place it back where it belongs before I start scanning the shelf for another book. When I don't find one that sounds good to me I start looking through the piles that I have scattered on the floor around my room. Once I find one that sounds good I make my way back to my designated spot on the couch. I open the book and immediately begin reading it.
I'm about a quarter of the way through the book when I hear footsteps enter the room. I only shift my eyes up over the top of the book not even bothering to even move my head. I hear Dean ask, "Wait what happened to the other one you were reading?" I reply, "I finished it." He mutters something under his breath while Sam laughs. I watch as Dean leaves while Sam moves my legs and sits down before letting them rest on his lap. I grab my bookmark and place it in the book before looking at Sam. I take in his adorable brown puppy dog eyes that make me melt and his shaggy brown hair. I'm snapped out of my thoughts when he asks, "Why do you read so much?" I reply, "Because it allows me to visit places and do things I couldn't even imagine. Reading for me is an escape." Sam nods before asking, "So what got you into reading?" I reply, "My mom when I was little read me Harry Potter each night before bed, and ever since I wanted more." Sam looks interested as he asks, "What do you read?" I simply reply, "Just about everything fiction." I stand up from my spot on the couch and say, "Come with me." Sam stands up from the couch and follows me to my room.
We arrive at my room and I open the door allowing Sam to step inside. He looks around in awe at the many books all over my room. I never let Sam and Dean into my room but since Sam and I were the closest and I had a small crush on him as well I decided to allow him in to look around. He starts at my bookshelf taking in all the books I have on there organized alphabetically by title. I watch as he looks around taking in every book I own. He turns to me and asks, "Would you mind if I borrowed one?" Immediately my face changes to one of excitement as I walk over ready to help him pick out the perfect book. Once I'm next to him I ask, "What do you like to read?" He casually says, "Well which one is your favorite?" His head moves to look down at me and he can see that I'm struggling to pick just one because he amends his statement and asks, "Well which one would you recommend." I think for a moment before I ask, "Does the specific genre matter?" He shakes his head before saying, "As long as it doesn't have clowns in it." I laugh as I move past him and towards the s section of my books. I run my finger over the titles until I stop on the one that I want. I pull it off the shelf and pass it to Sam who looks at the cover before flipping it over to read the summary on the back. Once he's done he looks back at me and says, "Thanks for the book before turning and walking from the room.
Sam's POV: As I leave Y/N's room with the book I walk to mine and close the door and try to clear my head. I had always had feelings for Y/N but I didn't know how to tell her so I had hoped that I could get close to her by talking to her about books and understand her a little better by reading some of her favorites so that hopefully I could eventually tell her how I felt.
Your POV: The weeks go by and Sam had gone through several of my books by now. Each time he returned them he always gave me his thoughts about them like what he liked and didn't like about them. This particular day Sam and I were sitting on the couch each of us with a book but I could tell he wasn't focused on his. I set my book down and asked, "Okay what's wrong?" He looks at me and asks, "What do you mean?" I reply, "I can tell you're not focused on your book." He sighs knowing I've caught him and he says, "You're right. It's just I've been thinking about something that I need to tell you." Instantly my demeanor changes and all my attention is on him I watch as he shifts to face me and he says, "I'm just going to say this outright. I like you Y/N." My jaw drops and practically hits the floor at his confession but at the same time I feel relieved knowing that he feels the same way I do. I ask softly, "Why didn't you say anything sooner?" He says, "Because I didn't know how to. So I decided that if I borrowed some of your books I could get inside your head and be more comfortable telling you." I look at him with a soft smile as I say, "I like you too Sam." I watch as his face changes to one of an excited puppy and I move down the couch and cuddle up next to him before we both end up falling asleep.
Dean's POV: I come back to the bunker from the store and it is unusually quiet. I set the groceries in the kitchen before beginning to move through the bunker looking for Y/N and Sam. I don't see either of them in the library or the weapons room. I start getting worried until I enter the main part of the bunker. I smile when I see Sam and Y/N curled up on the couch, Sam has his arm around Y/N holding her close to him. I knew that they had feelings for each other and it was only a matter of time before they told each other. I grab my phone and take a quick picture before leaving and letting them go on sleeping together.
