Beetlejuice x Reader

Summary: You help Beetlejuice get in the Halloween spirit

Author's Note: This is for Halloween tomorrow since I don't post on Tuesdays. Probably going to be a little shorter than my most recent posts. 

I jumped up from the bed excited, today was the third best day of the year only coming after Christmas and my birthday. I race downstairs excited to get the house ready for Halloween tonight. I go right to the kitchen and make a quick breakfast I barely taste before running back upstairs to change into some fall clothes. Once I'm changed I hear a gravelly voice behind me ask, "What has you so excited?" I look around and see Beetlejuice my house's resident demon standing in my room and I say excitedly, "Today is Halloween. Which means there's a lot to do." He looks at me confused and I grab his hand and drag him through the house and out the front door to my car. 

I drive excitedly to the closest Halloween store and when we arrive I grab a cart with Beetlejuice hesitantly following along slightly behind me. As soon as I'm inside I head right for the decorative lights to hang up throughout the whole house. Once I've grabbed a sufficient amount of lights I grab a pumpkin carving kit. We get back in the car and I drive to the local garden store to get some carving pumpkins. 

Beetlejuice and I stand in front of the various pumpkins and I say, "Pick one?" He looks confused and asks, "Why?" I sigh before replying, "So we can carve them later." He rolls his eyes and says, "You humans are so weird." Before walking into the sea of pumpkins. We walk around for about ten minutes until we find the perfect ones. Once we have them we put them in the car before heading back to the house. 

Once we get back to the house I set the pumpkins and the pumpkin carving kits on the table before clapping my hands and saying, "Now to hang up the lights." Before I can say anything else Beetlejuice claps his hands the lights are already up around the house. I huff at him upset that he took the fun out of it but happy that I'll have more time to carve my pumpkin. I sit down at the table and start cutting the top off the pumpkin. Once the top is removed I take a deep breath steeling myself to remove the guts which was my least favorite part. Once the guts are removed and draw out a nice floral pattern on my pumpkin before beginning to carve. 

The caving takes hours and by the time I'm done, the sun is starting to set. I place my pumpkin outside before going back in and cleaning up the remaining mess. Once everything is all cleaned up I head to the front room and start setting up a Halloween movie marathon. I'm settled in when I see Beetlejuice appear next to me, I scoot closer to him and rest my head on his shoulder as the movie plays.
