Shawn Mendes x Reader

Summary: You surprise Shawn at one of his shows.

Author's Note: I haven't done one for Shawn yet so here we go. Sorry if this is absolute crap.

I stand off to the side of the stage out of sight as I listen to my boyfriend Shawn sing to a sold-out stadium. When he finishes the song I can hear everyone cheering, once everyone is quieted down I hear him say, "So this next one is  dedicated to my girlfriend Y/N." I hear everyone go "Awwww." I watch as Shawn moves toward the front of the stage where a piano has been set up, he takes a seat and gently places his hands on the keys of the piano before he plays a few notes and begins to sing, "You're just too good to be true." I smile as I recognize the song since Shawn sang it to me all the time at our apartment. I wait until he's singing the chorus before I make my way on stage. When the fans see me they start getting excited and I motion for them to be quiet. I'm standing a few feet away from Shawn who still hasn't noticed me when he finishes the song everyone cheers and Shawn says, "Well I'm glad you liked it." I say, "Well I for one loved it." He whirls around and when he sees me he runs over to me and wraps me in a hug. He pulls away in disbelief before he asks, "How are you here?" I smile at him and say, "Well your manager decided to surprise you." Shawn hugs me again and everyone, "Awww's" and I tell Shawn, "I'll be backstage when you're done okay?" He nods and kisses my cheek before I walk back behind the stage. 

   Shawn has just finished his show and as soon as he's off stage he picks me up and spins me around before setting me back on the ground. I move a piece of hair out of my face and ask, "So how long are you here for?" I smile at him before saying, "The rest of the tour." I watch as he gets a boyish grin on his face before picking me up causing me to let out a squeal, he carries me out the back entrance and onto the tour bus where he tosses me unceremoniously onto the bed before climbing in next to me. He buries his face in the crook of my neck and I can feel him kissing my neck. I hum in contentment and I manage to get out, "You need to sleep." I hear Shawn groan and I say, "We can continue this later okay?" He nods and rolls over so he's comfortable before quickly falling asleep and I follow not long after. 

The next few weeks pass by in a blur but somehow we both manage to make it through the whole tour. We stumble into our shared apartment and set our bags down. Shawn turns me around and picks me up and I can hear him say, "That was fun but I'm exhausted." He carries me to the couch and lays down with me on top of him. Shawn runs his fingers through my hair and I lift my head and ask, "Are you going to go on another tour soon?" Shawn moves to look at me and says, "No. I'm going to take a break for a little so I can spend more time with you." I rest my head back on his chest and he starts humming and we spend the rest of the day cuddling.
