Author's Note: I am writing this from my phone so if there are spelling errors please forgive me since I have no internet on my campus right now but still wanted to update.

I stare up at the front of my new school and try not to let my nerves get the best of me. I had just moved to Beacon Hills with my family for a fresh start. You see my family was werewolves and we had been moving around the country to try and keep a low profile and we had wound up here. I take a deep breath and ready myself for my first day at Beacon Hills high school.

I make my way through the halls trying to keep to myself and avoid most of the people. I find my locker and open it and set my stuff inside before closing it and looking at my schedule to see what my first class will be. I see it is social studies with Coach Finnstock. I look around trying to see if anyone will stop and try to help me find the class but no one seems to notice. I sigh and resign myself to aimlessly walking around the school trying to find this one class.

After wandering aimlessly for about ten minutes I finally find the classroom. I grab the door handle and push it open and step inside the room. As soon as I'm inside everyone looks at me and I feel my face blush. The teacher looks at me and asks, "Can I help you?" I reply, "Yeah um I'm new here." His face changes to one of understanding before he addresses the class saying, "Guys we have a new student. I expect you to be nice to her and make her feel welcome." I look around the class and find an open seat towards the middle next to a boy with short black hair and dark brown eyes. I go over and take the empty seat next to him as class resumes.

All throughout class I can feel the boy staring at me and it's making me uncomfortable. I take a deep breath and try to calm my nerves when I get the distinct scent of wet dog. My eyes widen and I glance over out of the corner of my eye to see where the scent is coming from and it is coming from the boy next to me. Great another werewolf.

As soon as the bell rings signaling the end of class I am quickly packing up my stuff hoping that I can leave without any confrontation from the other werewolf. I'm relieved when I make it out of the classroom but that is short lived when I feel someone grab my wrist and start dragging me down the hallway. I let them drag me already planning on how I can escape.

They drag me until we come to an empty room where the person promptly drags me inside before closing the door behind them. I quickly look around the room search for any other possible exits but I don't see any and realize that the only way out is the door that I was just dragged through which is currently being blocked by whoever dragged me in here. I turn and face the door and see none other than the werewolf from my class. I let out a growl and unleash my claws preparing for a fight as I stare down the other werewolf. He steps forward while also growling and flashes his eyes which are a deep red. An alpha. Shit. I tense my leg muscles getting ready to spring at him. When he takes another step closer he holds up his hands to try and ease my fears. I reluctantly retract my claws but am still ready to spring if needed.

As he slowly moves closer towards me it is only now that I get a good look at him. With caramel color skin and eyes that look surprisingly soft for an alpha. He eyes me up and down and takes in my tense stance and says, "I'm not going to hurt you." I look at him warily still not fully trusting or believing him. He says, "My name is Scott. You mind telling me yours?" I stare at him for a moment before deciding to tell him. I say, "Y/N. My name is Y/N." He nods before asking,"And what brings you to Beacon Hills?" I stare at him not sure why that matters but decide to answer nonetheless, "My family just moved here." He mulls this answer over for a minute before seeming to be okay with it. I allow myself to relax a little more and as I do he says, well more like states, "You're a werewolf aren't you." I hang my head knowing I've been caught and say, " Yeah my whole family is." He asks me a few more questions before we hear the warning bell for class.

He goes over to the door and cracks it open and looks around before motioning me over so that I could leave. He leaves the room first not once looking back at me as I watch him move further down the hall I can't help but think myself that this is going to be a very interesting school year.
