Jesse Swanson x Reader

Summary: You're secretly dating Jesse and sing his favorite song at Nationals.

Author's Note: I haven't written for Jesse in a while but I absolutely love him and I'm not going to lie would be my ideal boyfriend. Anyway, this was requested by @JulzLovDraco4Eva.  

Practice had ended early today and I rushed to pack my bag. It was almost three and I was supposed to meet Jesse at three for our usual date, the Bella's didn't know that I was secretly dating Jesse and I couldn't let them find out because he was a Treblemaker. I run through campus until I reach my usual meeting spot. I stop to catch my breath before continuing to walk towards him. 

I tap him on the shoulder and he turns around and immediately wraps me in a hug. He slips his hand into mine and asks, "You ready?" I nod excitedly as we make our way to my dorm. I knew Amy wasn't going to be there so we had the room to ourselves. 

Jesse kicks off his shoes and grabs his computer before settling on my bed. I roll my eyes before climbing next to him and cuddling close. I ask Jesse, "So what did you have in mind for today?" He replies, "Well I was thinking I could show you different movie endings." I nod and rest my head on his shoulder as Jesse pulls up the first movie. 

 Jesse and I have made it through a few different movies before Jesse says, "Okay so I want to show you the ending of my favorite movie of all time, Breakfast Club." 

He pulls it up and presses play but before it can get started the door to the dorm opens. The first thing Jesse and I hear is, "What the hell Y/N!" 

Jesse and I jump apart to see Amy and Chloe standing in the doorway. I give them a guilty look and Chloe says, "Out." Jesse gets up and gives me an apologetic look as soon as the door is closed. Chloe begins to yell at me, "How could you? He's a Treblemaker you know you're not allowed to date them. I can't believe this." 

I look down in shame fully expecting Chloe to kick me out of the Bella's. Instead, I hear her say, "Well since we have nationals tomorrow I can't kick you out of the group." I let out a sigh of relief but still cower under Chloe's withering look. 

The next morning, I wake up before Amy and I feel butterflies filling my stomach. I grab my computer and decide to watch the ending of Breakfast Club. As I watch, I can understand why Jesse likes this movie so much. As the song plays over the credits I can't help but think how Chole would feel if we added the song into our performance tonight. 

We're on the bus to nationals and I slowly approach Chloe and I ask, "Hey I was wondering if we could change my solo song." She looks at me, as I begin to explain my idea to her. 

We're backstage, waiting to perform and I wonder if Jesse is here or not. Soon the group before us finishes and we make our way onto the stage. Chloe starts, and the performance is going well until we get to my solo. I begin to sing Don't You Forget About Me and I look out into the crowd and I see Jesse beaming at me. 

I get to the climax of the song and throw my fist in the air and I see Jesse copy me. By the end of our performance I'm on cloud nine. We make our way to the seats while we wait for the rest of the groups to finish before the awards are presented. 

We're standing up on the stage and we're all waiting nervously as the presenter says, "And the winner for this year's ICCA's nationals is the Barden Bellas." We all jump and cheer in excitement and I see Jesse in the audience cheering louder than any one else. 

When we get back I go right to my dorm and to my surprise I see Jesse lounging on my bed. I look over at Amy and she says, "Have fun you two." Before leaving us alone. 

I immediately climb next to Jesse and ask, "What are you doing here?" He replies, "Well I talked with Chole and she said we can continue to see each other. And we never finished our date yesterday." 

Jesse brings Breakfast Club up on his computer but before he presses play on it he turns to me and says, "I really liked your solo today." My cheeks flame before he leans in and kisses me. He pulls away grinning before pressing play on the movie. We spend the rest of the night cuddling and stealing kisses throughout the movie.
