Summary: You've pushed away everyone that tried to come into your life. Until a certain black-haired, blue-eyed boy changes that.

Warnings: Mentions of death

Author's Note: This is more based on book Percy Jackson rather than the show.

I walk through camp while everyone turns to look at me as I pass. I keep my head down and ignore them. I was used to being stared at most of the time since I was a child of Hades and not supposed to exist.

I arrived at camp when I was little and had never had many friends. I pushed people away because they mostly wanted something from me or didn't want to be around me. I make my way down to the lake and sit on the dock before dipping my feet in the cool water.

I close my eyes take a deep breath and let myself relax a little. My peace is interrupted when I hear footsteps walking along the dock and to my surprise sits next to me. I look over and see the tousled black hair, tan skin, and blue eyes of Percy Jackson. He was the only person who willingly wanted to be around me but I kept him at a distance.

He begins talking and I just listen like I usually do when we end up spending time like this together. Percy never asks me about my past or anything like that but today he asks, "Why don't you have any friends?"

I turned to stare at him with my y/e/c, this was the first time he had asked me any personal personal questions about myself. I say simply, "I push people away it's just easier for me."

To my surprise, he says, "You don't push me away." I sigh before I say, "No I don't push you away I keep you at a distance."

I'm about to get up and leave before Percy asks simply, "Why?" I pause debating on whether I want to open up to him or not. I decide I should because I say, "I push people away because everyone who's ever been close to me has died. My mom, my dad, everyone. I've started to believe I'm cursed."

I stand up and Percy grabs my wrist and says, "You're not cursed. You're just different like most of us here." I remove my wrist from his grasp and start walking up the dock. To my surprise, I hear Percy's footsteps following behind me.

He stops me and says seriously, "Hey I'm your friend okay?" I stare at him and fidget with my hands surprised he wants to try being friends with me even after what I told him about my past. I look at him before nodding as I say, "Yeah I'd like that."

Percy smiles back at me and walks with me back to the main part of camp while everyone stares at us. The outcast walking with camp's most popular half-blood was going to be interesting.
