Percy Jackson x Daughter of Aphrodite! Reader

Summary: You're best friends with Percy and have feelings for him despite most of the campers having a crush on you. You don't think Percy feels the same until one day everything changes.

Author's Note: This was requested by JulzLoveDraco4Eva. Again, sorry it took me so long to get to this. Also, Happy Valentine's Day Everyone. 

The moment I met him I knew he was different. With his messy jet-black hair and ocean-blue eyes and the way he treated me like an actual person and didn't just try to get close to me to sleep with me like all the other boys at camp. Percy was one of the only guys I felt comfortable having as a friend and it wasn't just because of that. 

Every time I was around, near, or thought about Percy my face would get hot, my face would get red and my heart would start to beat faster. I felt like there was something drawing me to him like a magnet and I also knew I had feelings for him but he was one of my best friends and I didn't want to do anything that would ruin our relationship. 

In being so close to Percy, it also meant that I was close to Annabeth and Grover as well. To my surprise, once Percy got to know me I was one of his go-to allies when he needed to protect camp or go on a quest. I tried to distance myself from Percy to make things easier for myself but it doesn't work. 

I storm through the woods trying to get away from Percy but he's much too stubborn to let me leave that easily. I feel him grab my wrist and he asks, "Why have you been distancing yourself from me?" 

I remove my wrist from his grasp and snap out, "Don't worry about it." That's not a good enough answer for him because he asks, "We're friends. We tell each other things. Did I do something wrong?" 

If only he knew how I was feeling and why I couldn't tell him. I don't answer any of his questions as I say, "Just leave me alone." Before walking back to my cabin. 

I stay in my bunk the rest of the day, even skipping dinner and I eventually doze off. I'm woken up when I feel a hand covering my mouth and my eyes instantly fly open and my hand reaches for my dagger but I hear a voice say, "Don't." 

My ears instantly recognize the voice as it belongs to Luke Castellan. I hear him say, "You are going to get out of bed and come with me. Do you understand?" I nod my head and slowly get up from my bunk. 

He quietly leads me out of my cabin and into the woods. Luke is walking behind me with the point of his sword at my back, before we get too far into the woods I yell out, "Help!" 

The next thing I know I'm falling forward onto the hard ground of the floor and my teeth clack together. My breath is knocked out of my body but I hear footsteps running. I feel hands helping me up from the ground I look and see it's Grover and Annabeth while Percy faces Luke. 

I watch, worried as they trade blows back and forth until Luke concedes. As soon as Luke makes his way back into the woods Percy notices me on the floor of the woods and rushes over to me. He grasps my hand and pulls me to my feet and I can feel the energy between us. 

I look around as a glow starts to envelop me and Percy and I feel us being bonded together. I feel my heart start to race as I realize what this means. My mother is bonding us, my mother was saying that Percy Jackson was my soulmate. 

Percy asks me, "What does this mean?" 

I reply with a shaky voice, "My mom's binding us together. She only does this when a child of Aphrodite is loved as much by the same person." 

I don't register what I've said until Percy says, "You love me?" 

I nod my head and before I know it he's kissing me. His lips are surprisingly soft but taste like saltwater. I feel the two of us rising into the air and look down as a stream of water is carrying us up into the trees. Percy maneuvers the water right next to a tree branch and we both step off the water. 

Percy has his arm around my waist and we have a view of the starry night sky spread out before us. I hear Percy ask, "So, will you be my girlfriend?" 

I turn to him smiling as I nod before he's leaning in to kiss me again.
