Summary: Waking up on Christmas morning with your husband Jensen.
Warnings: None
Author's Note: Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate and if not Happy Holidays!!!
I'm woken up to light kisses being pressed to my cheeks before I hear my husband's voice still laced with sleep say, "Merry Christmas baby."
I hum in response and finally open my eyes to see my husband's candy-apple green eyes already staring at me. Once he sees my eyes open he gently kisses my lips. The two of us relish this quiet moment before we hear three sets of feet racing across the floor and our door is thrown open as our three children run into the room and jump on the bed.
They begin climbing all over Jensen and I all excitedly talking at once. Jensen grabs JJ and begins tickling her causing her to start giggling while Arrow and Zeppelin try to save her.
After they're done playing around JJ says, "Can we open gifts now?"
Jensen looks at me and I say, "Yeah I think we can go do gifts."
The kids cheer and race downstairs while Jensen and I take our time.
By the time we get to the front room all three of them are anxiously gathered around the tree and have already picked their first gift that they want to open. Jensen and I take a seat on the couch.
Jensen says, "Alright JJ gets to go first since she's the oldest."
JJ eagerly opens her gift and as soon as she's done her brother and sister open theirs. The morning is spent watching the kids open gifts and by the time they're finished, it's about ten.
I say, "Alright Uncle Jared is going to be here at noon so everyone needs to get ready while I make breakfast."
The kids run upstairs while I head to the kitchen to get started on breakfast. As I'm flipping the pancakes I feel a pair of strong arms wrap around my waist and my husband rests his chin on my shoulder. I lean into his touch as he sways us back and forth.
I hear Jensen say, "I still have a hard time believing that I get to wake up to this every day."
I smile as I respond, "And I still have a hard time believing that I'm married to Jensen Ackles."
He laughs before kissing me again but before the kiss can get too heated we hear a small voice say, "Ewwww."
We look and see the kids are ready and I giggle while I plate the pancakes and Jensen gets them seated at the table.
I'm running around the house like a chicken with its head cut off while I try to finish last-minute preparations before Jared and his family come over. I hear the doorbell ring and I freeze, Jensen walks over and rubs my shoulders as he says, "Hey go get changed and I'll get them okay?"
I nod before rushing upstairs to our shared room to put on something a little nicer and more suitable for company than my pajamas.
The day is filled with laughter and love as I spend the day surrounded by my family and loved ones and before I know it, it's night.
I sit slumped on the couch from exhaustion while my head rests on Jensen's shoulder and I feel him place a kiss on the top of my head. Jared and Gen had decided to spend the night and were also cuddled up on the couch.
I can feel my eyes starting to close but I fight sleep off long enough to say, "Merry Christmas honey."
I can't make out Jensen's response because I'm already fast asleep.
