Anakin Skywalker x Reader

Summary: Being married to Anakin and getting captured by the empire.

Author's Note: This was requested by alana_swiftie013. Takes place after Revenge of the Sith but Anakin wasn't burned and Luke and Leia were never born.

I duck into a shadowy alley as I hear the uniform sound of stormtroopers pass me. I lean against the wall of the building and catch my breath.

It hadn't been long since the Jedi order fell and the empire took over the galaxy. My husband had left the order and joined the empire and was helping them hunt down any last remaining Jedi and I was one of them.

My husband never used to be like this, but he had been plagued with nightmares and had turned to Chancellor Palpatine who had manipulated him. Even though my husband was with the empire, deep down I knew he was the same man I fell in love with and married.

I'm pulled back into reality as an explosion sounds from only a few streets over. After my ears have finished ringing I hear a sharp voice say, "Hey!"

My head snaps around and I see a stormtrooper blocking the exit, I turn and begin to run down the alley. It isn't long before I hear several pairs of footsteps joining the first stormtrooper. I'm able to make it out of the alley and onto the main street and I continue to run. It seems like luck isn't on my side because my foot catches on some rubble and I fall face forward.

I feel a hand grabbing me and I twist and turn trying to get away but it's no use. They drag me down the street to their ship and throw me inside. I sit on one of the benches as the ship takes off from the planet and into the vast emptiness of space. 

The flight is short, and it isn't long before the ship is landing. I'm roughly hauled up from my spot and dragged off the ship. I look around the hanger that the sip has docked in, I take a mental count of how many other ships there are as well as about how many stormtroopers there are. I'm led through twisting hall after twisting hall and I lose track of how many turns we've made. 

We come to a stop in a dark hall and a door opens to reveal a cell. I'm harshly shoved inside before the door slides shut behind me. I look around and see it's just as dark as the hall outside and it's completely bare. There is, however, a small ledge at the back that could be used for either sitting or sleeping. I pace around the small cell for a while before growing bored and deciding to sit on the ledge. 

I lose track of time and spend most of it staring up at the ceiling before I hear the door to the cell hiss open. In walks a figure with a dark robe with the hood pulled low, to hide their face. I immediately sit up straight and put on a face of boredom. But nothing could prepare me for what I saw when the figure lowered their hood. 

There in front of me stood my husband. I hadn't seen him in about four years but he looked almost the same. With his brown curls and sharp features, the only thing that had changed was his eyes. His once beautiful blue eyes were now yellow. Once I've gotten over my initial shock I manage to stutter out, "Ani?" 

I watch as his face changes before he whispers out, "Y/N?" I nod and fight the tears begging to come to the surface as I nod. I see him trying to regain his composure as he continues, "I thought. I thought you were dead." I shake my head stand up from my spot and walk so I'm standing in front of him. 

I bring my hand up and cup his face and his flinches away at first before leaning into my hand. He brings his hand up and grabs mine before kissing it. At this, both of us finally break and we start to cry. 

Once we both have our emotions in check, Anakin says, "Come on I'm getting you out of here." He pulls his hood back over his head and opens the door with me following him out. 

Together we walk back through the maze of a ship until we arrive at the hanger. Anakin leads me over to a ship and lets me in first before taking his place in the pilot's seat. He turns the ship on and turns it around so its facing the entrance to the hanger. He smoothly maneuvers the ship forward and in an instant we're in space. 

Once we're a safe distance from the imperial ship Anakin puts the ship into hyperdrive and soon we're speeding through the stars. Anakin leaves his seat in the cockpit and crouches down in front of me. I see the broken and upset look on his face and he takes both my hands in his. 

He asks, "Can you ever forgive me?" I feel my heart shatter at his words and I reply, "I can. You were manipulated and lied to. It's going to take some time but yes eventually." 

He raises his head so he's looking into my y/e/c before he says, "Stars I don't deserve you." I move so I'm on the floor of the ship with him and he holds me close to him like I'm going to disappear any moment. And that's how we stay, relishing the feeling of being in each other's arms again. In my heart I knew we would defeat the empire, together.
