A hand placed itself on my fingers from behind and pulled them away from the door. Surprised, I turned around and saw Yoongi standing there.

"No, let us handle this..." he simply said, gently pushing me aside.

"But... I've already seen them like that, are you sure you can handle it?" I asked the three of them, as Namjoon and Jin had also joined us. Jin swallowed briefly but then nodded determinedly, while Namjoon shrugged.

"Better us than the others... and it would be too much for you," Yoongi said, opening the door. A stunned silence filled the air as Namjoon and Yoongi took in the scene before their eyes, but it suddenly became louder when Jin stepped forward.

"Fuu... oh you... oh... shit..." he cursed through sobs, and my heart went out to the three of them because I knew exactly what they were seeing.

"Hyung, go outside if it's too much for you. Namjoon and I can handle it," Yoongi tried to calm him down, but Jin seemed to refuse as neither of them came out. Before I stood here useless, which would inevitably lead to me overthinking what had actually happened today, I grabbed a water bottle and some glucose tablets and brought them out to Hoseok, who was sitting in the warm sand staring blankly at the sea. His mind seemed to have shut down, retreating into himself as a protective function of our souls when everything became too much and we didn't want to break down completely. So I just placed the items within his reach and went back into the plane where I secured the kitchen again and checked if we still had power there so we could use the microwave. Unfortunately, it wasn't working, but the refrigerator was still running on emergency power, which was a relief.

However, I had no idea how long it would continue to function. I took out the meals that I had started preparing earlier and packed them in aluminum trays, covering them with foil before placing them outside on the sun-warmed rocks where they were directly exposed to the sun, slowly warming up enough for us to eat them hot. A warm meal was important for our well-being, and we could all use that now.

By now, the cockpit was empty, only the bloodstained seats and the blood on the floor testified to the horrifying events that had taken place. Hesitantly, I entered the partially destroyed area and checked if anything on the instruments still worked, but everything was dark. Only the radio still had light because it had its own battery for safety reasons. Immediately, I scanned all frequencies, sent out distress signals everywhere, and listened, but I received no response anywhere. Maybe I was doing something wrong, but I also knew that there was a way to set it to send a continuous automatic distress signal; I just didn't know where...

"We've placed them all in a cool cave nearby, we just need something to dig with..." Jin said as he returned.

"Check the cargo hold, there's tools in there. I'm not sure if there's a shovel, but maybe we can make one out of a dustpan and broom." I suggested. He nodded and went back outside to join the others, while I searched for the user manual for the radio. Mina would have known how to operate it... Mina!!! I took out my phone and tried to reach her, but any hope of getting a signal here dwindled when I saw that it was completely broken. Maybe one of the others' phones was still functional, but even then... I doubted anyone would get a signal here. Without my phone, I couldn't even watch Mina's videos anymore and search for useful tips...
