After we had fruit again for breakfast, Namjoon tried to walk on the beach with his makeshift crutches so we could see how well that went. It was tedious and would probably take us forever, but Jungkook then took one of Namjoon's arms and put it on his shoulder so that Namjoon only needed one stick and it became a little easier. If I could help him on his other side too, we'd make faster progress, but I was just too short for that, or he was too tall... A matter of opinion, but it wasn't an option. So we set off, but had to take a break every half hour, as this kind of progress was very tiring for both of them. By now the sun was shining at its highest point, it was already midday, but it seemed as if we hadn't even made it halfway. Now we were sitting in the sand for the umpteenth time, taking a break and eating some of our fruit again.
"The back of my neck is tingling, as if someone is watching me," I realized uncomfortably at some point.
"There's no one here but us, there are no indigenous tribes in this part of the Pacific." Namjoon explained, not even looking up.
"Maybe Jimin is sitting in one of the bushes." Jungkook remarked pointedly and my eyes widened as I looked at him in surprise. Did he know what?
"Well, you weren't exactly quiet." he said in passing and I looked down at the ground in shame... I thought I'd kept my noise down. He leaned over to me.
"Don't worry, I understand... The sight of me just made you so hot." he whispered in my ear. I didn't know what to say to that, so I just kept my mouth shut and kept eating, but the feeling that someone was staring at me remained. After walking for another hour, we were finally met by Yoongi and Hobi, who had some food and fresh water with them and were able to take over from Jungkook at Namjoon's. Yoongi wasn't exactly huge either, but he was a lot taller than me and therefore more helpful than I was.
"Tell me, Kookie, are you crazy? We were worried about you. You can't just sneak off like that." Yoongi grumbled directly at him.
"Something else could have happened to you, isn't it enough that two have already disappeared? We can't afford to go it alone here." Hobi added before looking worriedly at Namjoon's foot.
"Nothing happened..." muttered Jungkook, earning a nasty look from Yoongi.
"I'm fine so far, if that's what you're asking," said Namjoon, who probably felt that he wasn't getting enough attention... Men just need a lot of attention when they're in pain, I thought with a slight grin.
"What happened to you that you didn't come back?" Yoongi wanted to know, only now noticing that Namjoon was leaning on a stick.
"Namjoon fell and injured himself, we wouldn't have made it back in daylight, so we prepared ourselves for the night and spent the night," I explained.
"And I found them, they had built themselves a cozy little house." Jungkook told us and Hobi immediately looked at us curiously.
"Did you want to move out and settle down here without us?" he asked, amused, but Yoongi snorted.
"Don't you dare leave me alone in a room with that, I'll wake up tied up every other day." he said directly to Namjoon.
"No, don't worry, he'll either have to tie us both up or leave it alone." Namjoon laughed and Hobi rolled his eyes playfully.
"You two are no fun for me anyway, I've got someone else in mind." he replied, shrugging his shoulders and grinning at me. Overwhelmed, I raised an eyebrow... I just pretended that he meant Jin...
