It actually went on like this all night, Yoongi held me tightly in his arms while Hobi smiled amusedly and snuggled up to us and then fell asleep peacefully. In the morning, the release was not without sulking and whining, Hobi and I felt like parents whose child refused to let go in front of the kindergarten, but the teacher, aka Jin, grabbed the defiant child and dragged him to the other children who were dutifully building the smokehouse. Hobi came with me to Namjoon, who went through our things in the cargo hold and together we packed a large tarpaulin, armor tape, a few ropes and 6 thin blankets, which were usually brought to the passengers' seats. Then a change of clothes for everyone and two water bottles for each person so that we didn't have to run to the stream every two hours to fill up. Another 3 shirts that we tied up to use as bags in case we found more fruit or vegetables to harvest. We would pack the food just before we set off.
"Well... I think that's all we need so far. If you think of anything else, it's only too late after we've left..." Namjoon said at the end.
"Maybe we should take a towel for everyone and at least one shower gel for everyone, we can share that for the short time. And don't forget your toothbrushes... I don't want to sleep with you in such a small shelter with unbrushed teeth," I added and Hobi grinned at the idea.
"Good idea, we can also roll up the towels and use them as pillows." Namjoon praised.
"If we're already finished... then we might as well help the boys again," I suggested, when suddenly Jimin stood in front of me.
"If you'd like to help, I'm on laundry duty... Are you coming?" he asked me and I nodded.
"Then we'll help Jin with the fishing." Namjoon said and Hobi agreed. Together with Jimin, I collected all the dirty laundry and took the homemade soap with me, which I had mixed with lemon to get a good, natural scent, and made my way to the stream. There we wet the laundry, rubbed it with the lemon soap and kneaded it thoroughly before rubbing out stubborn stains on stones, rinsing the clothes thoroughly with the running stream water and then wringing them out. After we had hung everything up in the sun, I dropped into the sand in the shade next to the plane and lay there exhausted. Jimin had spent the whole time telling me funny stories about the other boys and himself, so I hadn't been bored at all, but now he lay down next to me in silence and pulled my head onto his chest. For the fact that we were lying here relaxing and doing nothing, his heart was beating pretty fast. I lifted my head slightly so that I could look at him and saw that he was already staring at me. Something was on his mind, I could tell, but he seemed to be struggling with whether he wanted to say it or not.
"I'm going to miss you terribly... Please come back safely." he then said and I smiled encouragingly.
"Of course I will, I have three protectors with me, what could happen to me?" I reassured him.
"Take care of the boys too, I've already told them that... that they should look after you and themselves." he said. I cuddled up to him again and held him as tightly as I could, wanting him to know that I never wanted to let him go again, whereupon he stroked my hair tenderly.
"But there's something else... I've told them, but I haven't told you..." he began, before exhaling noisily and continuing.
"I love you." his words almost made my heart drop... I hadn't expected him to say that to me now, but I was all the happier for it because I couldn't help it.
"I love you too, Jimin..." was all I could say as he had already turned us around and was kissing me full of emotion.
