Afterwards, I helped Jin prepare dinner and he kept smiling conspiratorially at me. He wouldn't let me lift anything that seemed too heavy, even though the eight plates carved from bamboo wood that I wanted to carry to the table were anything but heavy, but he took them away from me and I shook my head as I watched him carry them to the table, but he let me carry the salad bowl, even though it weighed more than the plates with tomato salad filling, which made me smile at his logic. He had always treated me like his baby, which he had to protect and spoil, but now it was even worse. Not that I was complaining, my need for love had increased immensely and every pat on the head as we walked past, every little kiss he breathed to me and brief hand-holding when we stood next to each other, all the sudden hugs, made the corners of my mouth move upwards and my heart beat faster. I enjoyed every little bit of attention and his sweet concern almost brought tears of emotion to my eyes. So it was less surprising when, as soon as the table was set, I jumped at him, wrapped my legs around his waist and clung to him like a baby koala, rubbing my face against his neck and breathing in his scent that I loved so much as he stroked my hair.
"What's going on here?" Yoongi asked in surprise when he joined us and noticed that I was clinging closer to Jin like a leech, eyes closed and smiling all the time, making no effort to sit on his lap the other way around, as I usually did when eating, instead refusing to change even one bit of this comfortable, cozy and warming position.
"Just let my baby be clingy if she wants to," Jin said snippily, equally unwilling to let go of me.
"I was just asking, you don't have to nag me." Yoongi complained, but calmed down again when I lifted my head briefly and made a kissy face in his direction. Smiling, he followed my request and gently touched my lips with his. I didn't want any bad vibes here, I loved them all and wanted harmony between us... Especially right now.
"How am I supposed to tell the others?" I asked Jin in a whisper once Yoongi had sat down.
"Just let me do it." he tried to reassure me, but I didn't feel good and it showed in my skeptical look. A little later, everyone was sitting at the table eating peacefully when Jin cleared his throat.
"So you know, someone here planted their offshoot," he began cryptically and I wanted to punch him in the back of the head.
"Oh, that was me, I'm planting offshoots of all the crops we can find on the island." Namjoon explained and Jin shook his head...
"No, no... Seeds were distributed..." Jin began again and this time Hobi spoke up.
"That's my job." he said proudly and meanwhile Jin looked at his members with dissatisfaction.
"But someone here thought he was so cool that he thought he needed a second edition." he said and I was so done with him when the others just looked at him in confusion.
"Y/N now has a transportation pass for another person..." he tried again and everyone looked at him as if he had completely lost it.
"Huh, what..." Jimin started, but it was getting too silly for me now.
"Boah Jin... you're really... Lord in heaven... what he's trying to say... I'm pregnant." I dropped the bomb myself, annoyed. The sudden silence and the shocked faces made my insecurity blossom again, but when, after the brief minute of shock that seemed like an eternity, they suddenly all regained their composure at the same time and started talking, I could only shake my head...
