9th month
Now it was definitely time that no one needed to tell me to rest or to stay lying down... I did it voluntarily, because after walking only two meters, I was whistling like a steam engine, I couldn't see my feet anymore, which was probably a good thing, because they felt like they were twice as big as normal. Fortunately, Namjoon offered to massage them with his magic hands, which helped a bit and did me a lot of good. It was only ten days until my approximate due date, but it was very inaccurate, I had a completely messed up cycle at the beginning due to the shock of the emergency landing, so it could be that I was already overdue or the baby would still need three weeks. It still hadn't turned, and I had tried everything, I went into the bridge, made it uncomfortable when lying on my stomach at the top, while I left plenty of room at the bottom, Jimin only sang to my lower abdomen, I even used cell phones, held it to my pubic bone, then let it ring and used the cell phone flashlight, put the light on my stomach and then let it slowly move downwards. But no matter what I did, it just wouldn't turn. I had already started to think about the worst-case scenario and had mentally prepared myself for it, but I wanted to prevent it at all costs. To make sure everyone was prepared, I gave them a full birth preparation course + explanations on how to help me during the birth, Jungkook was even shown how to palpate the cervix to see if it was already open. I gave him a complete crash course on how to attend a birth and he was very eager to learn, eager to attend the birth and help me deliver the baby. Taehyung just said that he had often been there when a cow calved, so it wouldn't be that difficult... I then told him that as long as I wasn't ruminating, he shouldn't come near me when I was in labor.
"I have an idea... if we let you hang upside down from a branch and hold on tight... do you think the baby would turn?" asked Hobi, who was very worried that nothing would happen to us during the birth. I knew he was serious, didn't want to wind me up and if I didn't get the shivers at the thought, it might actually work thanks to gravity and hanging upside down... But...
"That's well meant, but I think I'd rather throw up..." I said.
"The approach was good, but it doesn't have to be so blatant... how about we help you do a handstand, leaning against the wall and held securely by us?" Namjoon then suggested. Thoughtfully, I pressed my lips together into a line and then smiled.
"Yes, I can imagine, let's try it." That said, I stood on my hands, my legs leaning against the board wall in the living room, Namjoon and Yoongi held me by the legs while Jimin sang to my stomach again and let the cell phone light move from above my belly button to my pubic bone. Jungkook lay on the floor with his face close to mine and cheered me up with his smile, encouraging me to keep going and telling me all the time how great I was doing and that I could do it... He must have been practicing for the birth. At some point there started to be movement in my tummy and it felt like my baby was having a party in there, it was a bit uncomfortable, then there was a rumble and it was quiet again.
"Put me back down, I think it worked!" I shouted excitedly. They carefully helped me to lie flat on the floor and I immediately felt my stomach. The head was down where it belonged. Slowly, with Jimin's help, I stood up and held on to him. As I stood upright, I suddenly felt a downward pressure, apparently the head had slipped into the right position, but then I noticed the fluid running down my legs... Our action had broken the amniotic sac...
